Our view on map drop rates

Make the boss guaranteed to drop an equal level map or a level higher. If you die, cannot reenter the map.

Now we have progression!

This is a huge leap. I don't see any harm that can come from this. All the people who have been stockpiling high level maps will be pissed that they are no longer the elite but they can all go have a pity party together.

So the best way to guarantee a constant stream of maps is run white maps, sounds fun.

it more fun than the current system...

let me tell you something...maps are NOT the sink for everything...maps ARE endgame areas....GGG failed in TWO ways

they turned maps into a GRINDFEST
they turned maps into a currency SINK

you cant' solve all the problems of a game with ONE system can you?
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself

Solid stream of maps sure, but no IIQ. People would still roll the maps for IIQ...

Or you could just run your infinite level 77 white maps in full mf gear

Half the reason people roll IIQ on maps is to get more of them, and you'd be removing that reason.

Right now my characters are around 76 because I ran out of maps and I refuse to buy them.

Then I have no sympathy for you. I purchased about 8 maps to start mapping and have never run out. I typically sit between 40-50 maps. There is progression to be made, you are simply too lazy/stubborn to put in the effort.

Indeed. Guaranteed map drops of similar level off a boss would completely ruin the entire system. All that really needs to happen is a map floor of some sort. like -2 or -3, so in a level 70 map the lowest that would drop would be a 68 or 67, and in a 77 the lowest you can drop is a 74 or 75. Essentially we need to not have level 66 maps dropping in 70+ maps. Outside of that the system is working fine.

I don't want to go back to lunaris 3 when I'm 90+ to get some maps and work my way back up only to fall farther each and every time. Since I get less and less.

You obviously don't know anything about the mechanics of map drops. Try learning how the system works before complaining about it.

In the case of this argument, make the map drop level completely random while slightly skewed to a similar level (similar to map drops now).

People that have managed to accumulate maps are just lucky. This is not in the majority.

And is it fun that to make sure you don't miss a single room, chest, or barrel in every map?

If you are worried about people just running bosses, implement the mechanic similar to fetid pool and make a new map available once the area is cleared.

No. Were not. We just understand how the map system work.
You also have more currency to waste on them then the average player.

Can you please show me your 74+ maps?No one is talking about 66-74 maps here. They are plenty.
I'm a broken record here, going round round. They should just convert catacombs to level 64-65 ish and add another area to A3 leveled at 65-67 ish, as fallback farming zones, with decent map drop rates. That is all.
