Remove MF completely from game

isnt /player x every multi boxer's wet dream come true?

Not as I understand it, right now they are getting 3.5 times the drops as compared to a single player, and if they are using software that relays their inputs across multiple client instances, then they are doing 6 times the damage as well. WITH /players 6 they would be getting the same drops as a single player who uses it, but still (if relaying/automating doing 6x the damage) The argument being it would put the single player adhering to the ToU on an even footing with the cheater, in terms of item drop if not damage.

Its definitely not a fix, its something I brought up only as a different way (vs magic find) of implementing a increased difficulty, increased reward ramp within the current areas we have now. Cause at the end of the day, thats what magic find is, a voluntary handicap taken in favor of better reward. This would reward a more effective monster killing build/gear setup, instead of a more gear independent one.

The constant comparison between sporker and melee is a hot topic, but theres a build balance issue here before you even bring up the subject of magic find mechanics. Taking them independently you have a ton of threads about melee getting the shaft and spork being OP, and a legitimate question about magic find being the right way to provide a greater risk/reward.

Tying the added risk to affix slots on gear makes it gear dependent, some builds deal better with that than others just as I'm sure that ramping mob difficulty up by simply adding a bunch of HP and a token amount of damage is better handled by some builds...

Magic find happens to be the best system I've seen, its acquired through the main point of enjoyment most people find in aRPGs: loot. It can be tweaked ad nausium with gear drops. I'm a fan but I'd like GGG to apply some of its out of the box thinking here to give us other options... affixes on maps is a GREAT step in this front imo.

plz dont discuss multiboxing or /players command in here.

I agree completely game should be about survivability and kill speed. Not stacking MF Uniques.
I feel like mf is part of the reason I get bored playing. My "fun" chars I feel im wasting my time playing since they dont work with mf gear.

Yeah I would love to see it happen but there isn't much hope.

Imagine a game where you can play a 2H melee and get just as much loot as dual spork...

Its a simple tradeoff, just like everything else. You're seeing a root problem with your build being more gear dependent than another build, not a problem with IIQ or IIR mods. If both builds are equally gear dependent then you're both given the same choices and incurring similar opportunity costs by putting an iir or iiq mod in your gear.

I hope this is distinctly different complaint than the OP has, though both deal with magic find affixes.

No, when comparing spork and melee you have two builds which can have semi equal DPS. Spork requires no gear to reach high DPS so is incredibly easy to play and also gets all the benefits of having MF gear. 2H is considerably harder to gear, will have lower survivability and damage for longer, while they are trying to find gear. When they do catch up they don't have the option of MF without sacrificing their tools for survival.

The point is that the opportunity cost only exists for some builds. Drops seem to be balanced around these higher levels of MF, so builds which are perhaps a little bit experimental suffer.

Without magic find, base rates could be raised so playing an experimental/non-optimal build doesn't shoot you in the foot where drops per mob is concerned. I couldn't care less that there are gear independant builds if there were no MF affixes.

I give up, hopefully GGG will not listen to the crybabies "WAH WAH SOMEONE IS DOING BETTER THAN I DO ! NERF HIM AND/OR BUFF ME !!!! WAH WAH".

PS I'm not spork nor MF.

Mature ... LOL :)
"I'm playing with friend (who are bad), we have issue with our gear, buff us !!!". This is, basically, what you said and you call that "mature". I call that "cyrbaby".

Just a single question : how, after a little more than 2 weeks, 4585 chars are level 60+ in Onslaught ? And no, we aren't all dual spork totem with 2 andavarius.

This game is difficult and aout choices and tradeoff, and you don't understand how it works. Now, you have 2 solutions :
1) Find how the game works.
2) Be a crybaby.

All I've seen you do is start bragging about yourself and basically get the discussion off topic. How well your doing really doesn't have anything to do with whether or not MF is good for the game or not.

Posts like the one you made above are simply trollish.
