Yeah I would love to see it happen but there isn't much hope.

Imagine a game where you can play a 2H melee and get just as much loot as dual spork...

Its a simple tradeoff, just like everything else. You're seeing a root problem with your build being more gear dependent than another build, not a problem with IIQ or IIR mods. If both builds are equally gear dependent then you're both given the same choices and incurring similar opportunity costs by putting an iir or iiq mod in your gear.

I hope this is distinctly different complaint than the OP has, though both deal with magic find affixes.

As to the OP: I'd be fine with dropping MF in general as long as there is constantly more difficult and more rewarding content to play... MF in most games serves as an easy way for developers to give the user a voluntary handicap in return for higher reward. Capture that mechanic through some "less lazy" way and I'm in. (a /players 6 command would do this to an extent, the net result is that you would see builds more focused on fast killing, all playing in the /6 mode...)

Dual spork would still clear content on /players 6, and gain even more benefit.
However /players would at least make the game better in terms that multiboxers would finally be on par with everyone.

This would allow everyone to do what currently only a set of people are doing (which is a faulty oversight from GGG). Players shouldn't be distinguished by the amount of RAM or computers they have to benefit from drops.

That is however, a different discussion.

isnt /player x every multi boxer's wet dream come true?

Check out my LA build: 1782214
I agree with the removal for checking purposes.

I'm not a multiboxer and I'd come back playing if it would be implemented.

you are stereotype for many, many players out there.

i have two mates, one stopped allready because he died all over the place, trying selfbuilds + selffound. poe gamers need some skill i would say but he also suffered from the low droprate.

my other mate is now 76. he is more skilled but he also dies all over the place. with the drops he found he has something around 35 resist and 2,3k health. his build is good, his equip is not, thus he does not play anymore recently. he never found an exalt. never. he is poor like a bum and cant progress anymore. if it wasnt me who asked him over and over to give it a try again, he would have abbadoned this game months before. i also help him with items of course but i have the same problem as him, so his gear is still subpar.

he would love to craft stuff but he is disappointed to death, he didnt even managed a 5L yet. his bows are shit, no links, no orbs. fuck it. i have t stop writing here, getting angry.

I'm tired of people who are REALLY bad but think they are good. A new HC league started 2 weeks ago, I died at level 48 and my second is level 73. Everybody started from ZERO. I don't run a MF build (actually LA ranger, I will switch to ROA when my DPS will be high enough) and I mostly use what I find (I bought a few gems : 2 WED, Area Concentrated of Effect, and some pieces of equipment : a belt, a bow and a quiver, for a total of less than 10 chaos). I sold 2 gems : REduced Mana and GMP and nothing else. I'm not 100% self-found, but I'm not that far.

My current gear :

Don't mind the missing gems helmet and the boots, I removed Frenzy+FA+WED and Reduced Mana+Grace+Wrath to do some test. I haven't killed Merciless Piety yet (too risky atm for me), but I can do everything else without any real problem.

Look at my currencies :

I'm in the category "poor", my gear isn't uber but I was level 50 in Merciless and 60 in act 3. No MF build , no uber gear and still not dying all over the place. 3.2K life, 75 resists everywhere, around 1K tooltip DPS with LA (2K with Frenzy, I'm slow against a single mob).

Dude.. GJ walking over the game with probably the easiest skill in game... requires close to nothing to own with LA....

Dude, GJ understanding how I did it within a few days. My HC char (level 81, mostly self-found) has never used LA (--> ROA) and has a way better gear. Of course, I played that char way longer.

Do you want to know your problem ? you copy an end-game build without even understanding how it works. And then, without a godtier gear, you cannot progress, and instead of finding how to progress, you ask for buffs/nerfs.

Some skills are REALLY good at low levels (Poison Arrow is a wonderful example) and sux at higher levels. Some skill are more gear dependant than others. And guess what ? You don't follow an endgame build at level 40.

I dont read it that way. Hover is being attacked for doing exactly what people in this thread say you cant do (except with maybe a spork build). Arrogant douche bag because you find it difficult to do as well? or because he is saying you shouldnt copy a end game build and wonder why it doesnt work so hot at level 40?

Hey...is this thing on?
@ hovergame. hm lol. my mate didnt copy any builds, he tried to work out his own melee builds first. as he failed 2 or 3 attempts i told him to look at a solid build so we can finally map together.

but one thing i dont understand, how das skill help with drops? ... the only thing to overcome this problem is to grind which you prolly did. he playes 1-2 hours a day max.
