Why does Lioneye's Glare have no drawback?

Hm, i think the title of this thread should be changed:

"People with lionseye VS people without one"

I have lionseye so I suggest we dont change anything.

If this item gets nerfed, prepare yourselves for the pitch and fork mob (which I will be part of) to nerf every other seemingly or useful item.

If you don't like balance changes, I suggest you don't join games in beta.
You know what would be a cool drawback? An absurdly large Dexterity requirement. I guess that wouldn't matter much for some builds, however.
same name in-game

Wouldn't really matter, and that's just taking advantage of the imbalance in the stats that makes dexterity so bad, which is something that itself needs to be fixed.

Except if you actually read the thread you would see two of my suggested changes as well as

And I suggest not receiving or asking for financial donations (ggg) for that matter if you want to play the beta card... Extended betas for extended periods seem to be the in thing and gives people like you an excuse to throw it at people who have a differing opinion.

Besides, most games have balance changes after official release. SC2 and D3 are a couple examples.
GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!

Yeah, but for real...if you had not been using one, you'd be standing here on this side with the rest of us.
I understand it's sensitive since it's the heart of your build, but it's one of those items that is so obviously unbalanced that it's almost crazy.

I see a lot more people with Lioneye's complaining that it's wrong to nerf their item than people with Lioneye's who actually understand game balance.

See also: my Lioneye's.
Ironically, I don't have a Lioneye's, and don't really think it should be nerfed. Rather, I'm of the opinion that there should be many more uniques like Lioneyes.

Lioneye's is at or around the limit, however. If it weren't for the fact that good tri-ele bows are clearly better for many builds, then it would need a nerf.

In case you're not following, I would like to see more uniques that are near enough to best in slot that people argue to death about them and the other alternatives. I don't think that all uniques need clear drawbacks. They just can't eclipse all possible rare options.

That is all.

End note: Kaom's (with drawbacks) may be a worse unique than Lioneye's (with none) based on this fundamental test.

There is far too much bandwagon in this thread and in this game. I can only assume the vast majority of posters here pushing for a nerf have not actually ever experimented with lions vs comparable (and cheaper) ele thicket. You say its unbalanced yet youve not to prove it with actual in game numbers and testing outside of RT = gimped dps.

For 6-7 aura builds lions will beat even tri ele thickets due to hatred but will still be inferior to a theoretical thicket with pd%/pd/light/ias. Yes, I realize that thicket does not exist yet.

For 3 aura builds lions will be about as good or worst than ele thickets accounting for ehp as well as dps.

Nerf lions, nerf koams, nerf shavs, nerf/remove mf, remove curses are the most popular threads whereas the ones pushing for a buff to underused skills and items are far less active.
