PoE Performance Issues still present. Need a word harsher than abysmal.

The shitty performance of PoE is actually the main reason I uninstalled the game. Never have I played a game with as buggy a client as Path of Exile. Hopefully they get their shit together but it's a real shame how unplayable this game currently is.

To the Op, my best recommendation is to email support but in the end you will probably just get a message like "we're working on it so deal with it". Best of luck raising awareness for this particular issue.

I have actually already replied several times in this thread. We're very aware that the issue affects some users and are trying hard to find a way to reproduce it ourselves. We've tested so many machines/configurations where it just works perfectly. There's something wrong and we'll solve it.

I play on both an old comp, and a more current comp.

It has a few issues on the old comp, but plays better than i expected.

No issues at all on the newer comp -, pretty solid 60 fps.

Thanks Chris. Please let us know if there's any additional information you'd like from us or tests we can perform to provide feedback.
For what it's worth, I'm having some success with triple buffering enabled. I'm using D3DOverider, as my card only supports triple buffering for OpenGL applications. I'd be interested in seeing how this affects others...
I don't know how to compile all the info that the OP gave, but I have strange FPS spikes where it drops to sub-5 FPS (which in a game like this can mean death).

I'm using an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650.

I have no issues with any other game that I play, so this poor performance on this game is rather annoying. I can't even think about playing Hardcore even if I wanted to because of the risk of dying just to a framerate spike.

Doesn't work for me

I already tried:
- installing new gfx drivers
- flashing gfx bios with newer version
- forcing gfx clocks not to change between 2D, 3D modes
- running with different game settings even with the "runescape" mode
- running game with or without firewall, antivirus, ccc, windows defender, event logging
- running the game on 1,2,3,4 cores with high and realtime priority and -gc 2 --softwareaudio
- defragmenting and optimizing partitions
On a sidenote, there is another Bug related to Radeon cards, it can be reproduced this way:

1. Start an application that has a loading time of more than 5 seconds
2. Start PoE
3. As soon as the previously started app steals the focus from PoE while it is still on the loading screen, the gpu stops responding, screen turns black, VPU Recovery resets gpu, screen comes back on

Tested on 2 PCs, was no problem to reproduce.
VPU Recovery needs to be on, otherwise pc simply crashes.
Windowed fullscreen mode used to reproduce it.

My bad, I only saw the first page and didn't bother to read the rest of the thread. Totally my fault.
I do find some problems with the performance of the game too, my laptop isn't a gaming god or anything but its relatively new.
My PC i have runs the game no sweat,

A few things that may or may not help you guys pin anything down that i have found
-I can create and play a new character perfectly fine, the game will run great on my laptop on average graphics quality .
-If i move to my endgame ranger i have trouble keeping a steady framerate especially in maps docks and catacombs (where i would play) It bounces from around 50-3FPS.
-I do play an elemental ranger however it is worth noting these problems are present as soon as i enter the area, and only worsen as i cast spells.
-The laptop does have dual graphics cards, an AMD 7670m and intel HD4000 onboard.
I do have several microtransaction effects on my character. (\o/ support this amazing game guys.)
-I am running Windows 8 64 bit
-CCC is set to run a high preformance profile in PoE but i have no idea how to check if it actually is using it.
