PoE Performance Issues still present. Need a word harsher than abysmal.

Here you have the example, doesnt matter if i run high quality or the lowest with vsync on or off

The image below shows what happens when I go from (in this case) Act 1 (cruel) Coves to Act 3 (normal) sewers. This happens on all of mt characters in Act 3, regardless of type/skills.

My system (currently):

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
16GB DDR3
Core Duo E8400
ATI HD4850 (13.1 legacy drivers)
Normal HDD

No background applications running

Edit:typo

My screens look exactly like the ones from ThePassenger.

btw; The tradechat thing is true, but the fps spikes occur even if it's turned off.

Do the spikes still occur if Variance Shadows are on (and vsync is off)? I understand the framerate is lower on average with shadows on - just checking about the spikes.

Result: Variance shadows (no matter if vsync on or off) render the game unplayable, as soon as anything besides my character is on the screen.
The fps spikes occur at aprox. 0,5 sec interval now (A3 Docks tested).

I used the prevent idle clock fix i posted earlier (in case that matters)

Vsync off and shadow variance off. GPU usage is a lot higher...

Vsync off, Variance shadows on.
