Dsync, class/skill/passive tree balance, combat feedback feels off, crafting is RNG madness

lack of graphic artist in the ggg house (my last information is that only one brave man working on all the 3d models and animations, correct me if i´m wrong)

lack of beginner tutorials

whoa

if there is seriously only one dude doing all the modeling and rigging, then he's probably the only person at GGG that deserves any respect.

because thats a LOT of work for one person to do
Ok the trendies left. Whats your point?

Meh, I know I (and many others) will return once they give us more loot options, personally I don't like killing stuff to reward leeches and there are better single player games available.

Or if they add my Shrine of Exile... I could put up with the terrible looting if they implemented that. :X

Mostly waiting for the option of designated loot, though.
Lost in a wonderful world of VGM covers.

Our traffic is currently on average what traffic was at PEAK TIMES during closed beta. It's safe to assume that while Hype has died down, they have approximately doubled their average playerbase.

Thats simply not enough. GGG are roughly 30 persons, so only paying them means about 120k US$ a month, then there is office space, server housing and bandwith to pay rent for, so about 150k is an educated guess about their monthly fixed costs.

In any given F2P-game between 7% and 9% of all players are investing money, so let´s say GGG is on the better end, and they even do better than any F2P game before them and 10% are investing money, let´s say at average 10 US$ per month.

So they would need 150k active players just to cover their costs, and even with this number they do NOT earn a cent with the game, with less than 150k active players they will lose money every month.

So rather sooner than later they will start to fire personnel, move to a smaller and cheaper office, lenghten the period between updates etc.

So they will lose even more players and the circle continues...

FYI it's going to cost a lot more than ~120k USD / month to employ a staff of 30+ people (especially programmers and skilled graphic artists)

There's a lot of overhead when you employ people.
how do we find out how many players in the playerbase?

is 150k considered a lot?

If you want to cater to people who have computers from the last century, you have to make your game look ugly as hell. I don't want PoE to look like Runescape :(

Nope, you are not right, Don´t run PC from last century, but run a 4 year old Pc win7/32

And this should be no prob to the game, but the game should be running without any lags.If we talk about a game F2P it should be runable on systems that are older than ten years, because these games depend on the mass of users.

And this is the main problem of the game: You cannot design a game in the (more or less) graphics of D2 and need the best technical system of 2013. Does not work like this, because users of brandnew and expensive systems expect a whole lot more than the actual technics of PoE.

And I say this as a real PoE_fan!

Going by the reach data posted a couple pages back in this thread the pathofexile site has roughly ~200k unique users visiting the site daily right now. What % of the playerbase is actually visiting the forum daily is an other matter entirely.

A fair amount of users for an MMO regardless. I've seen some MMOs supported by amounts as little as only 1k players logged in and playing at a time.
I'm more inclined to question POE's longevity after official release in late September or early October. If Act III's expansion fails to address core issues with the current "end game" then we'll have a real discussion.
Some people should stay in scholl and pay more attention to atatistics 101.

I did, now I can support GG by buying diamonds :)

FadeFX, walk your talk, uninstall POE, and go play Kingsroad. :)

Stop hating on this lovely game. :(
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!
