Loot

Just going to chime in with my two cents here, too.

The game's freaking fantastic, and I'm happy to have supported it.

FFA loot is detrimental to fun, and to community/party building.

If the Devs are adamant about keeping FFA loot in the game, it would be simply AMAZING to have options on a per-party basis to customize timer lengths.

I've got no problem sharing loot with my pals, but I'd be much less inclined to Pub.
Great game so far, lose the FFA loot, It'll only lead to griefing and more solo play, Diablo 3 may not have been everything it was hoped to be but the loot per party member is an absolute must, or a need/greed/pass system if not separate loot.

FFA loot was the worst part about Diablo 2, unless you were the guy with the pickup hack.


TLDR: Free For All loot is bad.
Let party leader to decide FFA or not would make everyone happy IMO.
ps. I am definitely for classic loot rule.

QFT.. FFA loot will lead to more solo playing, a sad thing i think..
So far, in the parties I've been in, I've been to slow for the rares. By the time I see what dropped and what I could use, the other players have snagged them up and left party.
At present this does not bother me so much. But in higher level content it might.
I feel a roll on items that are rare and up would be nice in party. I wouldn't mind if I was out-rolled. But to slow or as others mention the others stop fighting waiting for the drop to get loot first will be an unwelcome part to a fantastic game to date.
I kinda like the Idea,

Brings back old memories....

But I will be playing with friends only atm.

There are about 300 pages of arguing about the loot systems, and the game still in beta stage, what about TRYING IT OUT, and let's see what happens? Give a party option to the players, and you will see how many public party will be FFA and how many Instanced. If you see much more Instanced loot party then it means ppl are more interested to play that way. Why would you force FFA if more ppl interested in playing with instanced loot?
Party option also grant the community two loot system, so both player base would be satisfied.

Everything in this game is fine (except the stability issues ofc), this is the last thing you should do before release to make the PERFECT GAME.

They have to change this FFA backward idea or else no reason what so ever for their cash shop items that depends on player showing cool effects to others.

Really shooting themselves in the foot with this one as people will just play the game single player then stop because SP game isn't that fun any way.

FFA loot = Single Player Game
I don't play in parties exactly because of this FFA....

I hope they'll at least implement an option for the party leader to choose how long the timer on items will be... So if the players in the party want instaced loot, then the leader will just set it to 999 or something.
Love the loot system.
