Skills: Lightning Trap > Reduced Duration > Multitraps > Chain > Elemental Proliferation Fire Trap > Fire Pen (empower when it levels) > Chance to ignite > Elemental Proliferation Cold Snap > Trap > Multitraps > Elemental Proliferation Auras: Clarity and Discipline Curse: Critical Weakness Misc: Arctic Armour and Cast on dmg(lv9)linked to Enduring(lv10) > Molten Shell(lv12) The Idea is pretty simple, i got 3 traps, Lightning Trap, fire trap, and Cold snap trap. Use lightning trap with multitraps + chain + prolif and everything is instantly shocked and have Ele Equilibrium triggered for the next 2 traps. And then i just keep using the traps in sequence. That way i constantly trigger ele equilibrium, and i always prolif all 3 shock, burn and freeze. The freeze part also gives me a good way to avoid damage. The item that really enables this build is the sunblast unique belt. This makes lightning trap, which is linked with reduced duration, explode on impact. For defense, since i had a high base intellect and also since i needed to go eldritch battery, the only logical way of getting a high enough life pool is to have Mind over Matter. And to get that i use a cloak of defiance unique, which makes 40% of the damage go to mana. If my math is right, i should be able to reach (with end game gear) an effective life pool of 7000. Also, i have molten shell at lvl 12 and enduring cry at lvl 10 with a lvl 9 cast on dmg taken giving me a nice passive boost to armour. I use arctic armour (making use of high mana regen) further reducing the physical damage i take. Add a granite in certain situations and you've got yourself a pretty tanky character. All in All this build has been so much fun, and can clear large numbers of mobs with no problem. Hope you like it! IGN Lytnin

I don't think there is any way it CAN'T be Kripps max endurance, power and frenzy charge Discharger.

CAN DO ANY MAP TYPE (base char stats ~10k hp, ~18kdps, 77 resist all in ele weakness maps, 50% block chance, 7 endurance charges, able to shock stack)
Hello GGG, the character I would like to submit for episode 3 is named _WAR_ What I believe makes this character so special is how i am able to maximize defense while still having very crazy offensive capabilities. He is a character using a legacy soultaker kaoms and thunderfist. Being a character with a one hander and a kaoms with no sockets, I had to figure out a way to still have great dps. The Thunderfist filled this role extremely well, and with the soultaker i am able to simulate a 6l item in my gloves(added lightning and no blood magic needed, via soultaker) Using some of the reduced mana nodes and alpha howl i am still able to run the 3 elemental damage auras and this high dps along with crazy survivability make _WAR_ able to trivialize the most end game content, I can even face tank piety ice arrows point blank. For tough spell casters you can switch to the shield in my offhand, saffels frame! Another good thing about this build is it will allow you to show people that CoDT is not at all broken to the point to where it can still be used, i use a level 1 codt on my endurance charge and decoy totem, but have a higher level one for my molten shell, immortal call, and rejuv totem ITEMS BUILD http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgEAAdwB5wJxBLMFLRLhFCAWbxcvGS4ZhRo4G_odFCSqJd8n7S3SMZ4yCTJ-Mok1kjboNuk6UjrYR35N4099UEdQUFFgU99USVXGVdZXDVfiWGNYr1jbWfNfP2BLYSFk52VNZp5nvWxGbmlwfXJscql07XfleA1673zZgFaApITZhO-I8YzPj0aQVZHOm4OboZ7NoLSiAKQZplenMKeEqW6rxaxZrKqsr7T5tfK53bvtvoq-p8AaxtjPZdDQ0iHUj9lh42rnUuw47m_vDvAf8i_z3fZI97760vuq_o8= And he looks cool! http://i.imgur.com/Vapd8yp.jpg Last edited by Berskerker#1764 on Nov 19, 2013, 9:42:09 AM

I think you should show 3-4 builds in one video this time, as there are lot of awesome and similar builds with cast on crit gem. So like show 2 min gameplay from each build in a 10 min video.

It will be disappointing if they pick a build based around legacy items.

Unarmed, Unarmored facebreaker.
Goes to 15k splash damage, and is very tanky with his 75 block chance and his 65% spell block chance. The build need almost only unique items... he only got rare from rings. Gear
Spoiler
This build is fun since you must punch enemies in the face, with doing a lot of damage to them, in a splash radius, while feeling invincible due to block and es regen you got. Offense : Also, since you wear Bringer or the Rain, you can just skip trying to buy a 6 link armor, which is kinda hard... (You can still wear an armor, for leveling gems purpose, but the armor stats will not be applied). In it, you will need 4 red socket, so get Infernal Blow, which is the main attack, Multistrike and Melee splash. I'm using Item quantity for farming, but when not needed, i'm using life leech. Later on, with a higher level reduced gem, i'll put 3 aura, and will not be able to use my main attack, so i'll put a blood magic gem on the Helm. With the effect of the helm + the gems i put in it, it provides a good 15k dps splash. When i'm facing a big boss, I get rid of Melee splash to put another red gem, like life leech. Defense : The Helm provides a nice 15% block... which is nice for our build. I'm using RainbowStrides boots for the boots of ES needed + the spell block it provides, and some good resist (This one is legacy, but you can get a non-legacy too, it's still good but less Resist). With the Amulet Stone of Lazhwar, + the boots, + the passive node that provides some spell block chance, you almost block any spells that hit you, making you almost immortal + you can use Saffel's Frame Shield if it's not enough... or when fightning big casters, like dual Piety in maps. The shield Aegis Aurora with our block chances provides a huge bonus to survability... you can be in Scepter or God and stand there, not moving doing nothing and you will survive ! You don't got much Max ES, but you'll see it moving back and forth giving you around 300 es each time you block. You can also pop a Granite flask to boost your defence, so that when you block, you gain more ES. Curse : I'm using warlord's, mostly for life leech and mana leech... and I put a lvl 9 Enfeeble with a lvl 7 Cast when damage Taken. Aura : Hatred is a must for the damage boost, and i'm also using Purity of Elements. You'll have 77 all resist (but with Aegis Aurora shield, you get +5 max cold so it means 82 cold resist). Later on I'll try to use another aura (so 3 auras) with is Determination. Grace would have been better, but the lack of dexterity makes Determination better. This will boost the ES gain from your shield each time you block. With 3 auras, like I said before, I will not be able to use Infernal blow on mana... so i'll put a blood magic gem in my helm. Mana : I'm only using a ring that gives +2% mana leech, plus the mana leech from warlords. Since we're doing enough phys damage, it's plenty enough to use Infernal Blow non-stop when using 2 auras. When i'll use 3, then i'll use blood magic gems. Skilltree you want to get ---------- (Yes I Know, my Decoy Totem got one level too high to proc the Cast when damage taken, i'll reduce it from one level to repair that) :P I got a Legacy Facebreaker, but it's still easy achievable with a non-legacy one. I do not own an Abyssus Helm, but feel free to try it. You will gain approx 40-50 k splash dmg... but you'll need to get a 6 linked armor too for your Infernal Blow... And with the block you got, the Abyssus downside should't be too much... Last edited by Manu_333#7751 on Nov 18, 2013, 2:15:50 PM

" Agreed. Builds using legacy items don't reflect current gameplay except in the dumpster leagues for few players. These videos are great for drawing new people in, and should show off awesome things that a new player can reasonable obtain. |

Greetings!
I would like to submit my ultimate merciless Piety farmer / runner summoner: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/560312/page/1 I started off farming her and the route leading up to her with -20% rarity (yes, NEGATIVE 20, Aurumvorax ftw!), in garbage gear (2.6K life), now, a little more then a week later, i'm doing her with 290%! Definitely recommended for people who are on the lookout for currency and aren't scared to take on the leveling challenge! It is optimized for endgame play, and i would gladly see one of these builds showcased to let people see how good a build that's more or less useless at start and becomes insanely effective once it's complete! We all know how level 1 zombies die if a monster looks at them funny, my Zombies (and Spectres) have near 10k life, 80% allresists and are able to tank merciless Vaal / Kole smashes and Piety in Ice form realatively easily, while the Burning Miscreations do insane dps and just sweep away that stands in my way. For a showcase, feel free to check my Twitch channel, i did highlight a Rogue Exile + Merciless Piety 2v1 fight, but most of my past broadcasts are Piety runs and clearing Lunaris 2 and 3! Thanks! @Sampudrinker Stream: www.twitch.tv/sampudrinker Last edited by tehosiris#3518 on Nov 18, 2013, 3:21:36 PM

IGN: Jackanought
Quick description: Max Block CI melee using hybrid gear and Aegis Aurora Defensive Stats: 7360 ES, over 20 000 armor, 75% block chance, 64% spell block, over capped on every resist, Aegis Aurora giving 4% of armor as ES every time I block For offense I use a soul taker to remove any need for mana or mana leech, this lets me reserve all my mana in auras and at the same time take advantage of the Shavronne's Revelations ring to grant me ES regen, it also frees up every link for damage abilities without having to worry about mana cost which lets me deal acceptable damage with an extremely defensive spec To be able to cast spells that I normally wouldn't due to not having mana or mana regen I have cast when damage taken linked to blood rage, molten shell and enduring cry and I have a curse linked to curse on hit and flicker strike This build and the item synergies makes even the hardest endgame maps trivial, what if I am in the middle of a map and I desync? no problem, I don't take damage. Have to go away for half an hour? sure thing, I will be there when I get back. Feel like taking a break in the middle of fightning dominus? he will wait for me. there is no map mod that this build can't do, the only one I avoid is blood magic and that is because to clear a blood magic map I have to use basic attacks and it is no fun going that slow, the very dreaded reflect actually makes it tankier since you can block the reflected damage, and blocking gives me ES, same goes for lightning thorns. No Regen? no problem. The only unique that is 100% required for this build is the Aegis Aurora, the legacy uniques I am using do make it stronger but it can be played without them, it can also be played as a caster, but as this week is about pure power I see no reason to limit myself, Jackanought is pure power, it is like PoE with cheat codes enabled! |
