Removed special chests from the Cave in the Old Fields and from the Weaver's Chambers. All dungeon areas now have a chance of spawning a special chest. There is also now a guaranteed one in the Dread Thicket.

I'm a little confused with this one Chris. Now you're removing all the chests and there's a "chance" of spawning a special chest??? Thanks. I see you're starting to walk down blizz's path with D3 - remove this, remove that, but ok, just won't do these areas anymore as there is really no reason to now... Why do something if there's a "chance" for a drop?? But that's ok, it was too good to think that the "uniqueness" of this game would last forever...

And the dread thicket ALWAYS had a chest; EVERY SINGLE TIME I WAS THERE A CHEST WAS THERE, so I'm not sure what you mean with this statement.

A couple of patches ago all bosses (including the Weaver and the White Beast) got their boss drops improved. Also, both area's are still part of quests.

But I think you misunderstand the fact that ALL dungeons now have a chance to spawn a special chest, not only the ones that had them before. Basically, you can now run into chests everywhere, which means it is a whole lot more fun.

So does that mean that 2 or more special chests can spawn in the weaver's chamber? Because if not, then WTF is the big, special deal?? A "chance" to spawn when there was a guarenteed chest. Oh boy, big fckin deal... And sorry to inform you, but the so-called "improvement" of the boss drops still suck. I get mostly crap and find better shit out killing mobs so the crap of boss drops getting better is nonsense. And I was so hoping this game wouldn't walk down D3's path... I guess all games eventually end up in the same hole...

With the three new curse skills to drop resists, how will that work with elemental weakness? Is that skill being removed or changed?

Sounds like elemental weakness was broken up into its three parts.

The question now is, will they keep elemental weakness or trash it? Because OBVIOUSLY, they didn't give us anything new, just repackaged some old crap into something "new." And, if elemental weakness is kept, will it stack with the "new" curses?? I think it should as it would somewhat make up for the debacle they did to removing the chests. Here's a suggestion, why don't they just remove ALL the chests from ingame.

Am I being an asshole - you betcha. I beta'd D3 and enjoyed the game; what it is today is NOT what I tested. I like this game and am afraid that I'm seeing similar trends that blizz did utterly destroying D3. I sincerely hope that I am mistaken....

if i remember right from previous statement the ele weakness wont have the chance to ignite/freeze/shock anymore

and also curently the ele weakness curse is they said op so it nerfed to only having - resistance and they add 3 more curse to trade for it

How do conductivity, flammability and frostbite debuffs compare to elemental weakness? Since the latter targets all 3, it seems to follow that the individual elemental effects would have to be greater?
In a very grind heavy game the death penalty equates to...more grinding.

No, Elemental Weakness isn't. There's now EW and three other elemental curses. You can stack elemental debuffs with Whispers of Doom keystone.

Mmmhmmm... as I thought... I wonder if I'll even recognize this game after it goes live; will it survive all the nerfs and dumbing down? Well, at least there is no RMAH here - for now...

I was very disappointed with the build of the week. In my opinion, showing characters with such ridiculously good equipment provides a skewed impression of how useful the builds actually are. For example, I have tried this particular build in a previous patch and it is quite ineffective with mediocre equipment.

I hope that in the future, the build of the week will feature builds with more down-to-earth equipment. That will appeal to a much broader range of viewers and not just people who have 6-linked armors with 1k ES.

I think BotW should feature mainly builds that innovate ad use mechanics and combinations which would not strike the average players, and also builds that succeed in doing something that would be hard for everyone or for that particular character.

Good examples include the flame totemplar, righteous fore build and the facebreaker build. Characters that use weapons that are not suited to their position in the tree should also be included, like for example templars with claws or wand duelists.
