Contents of the 0.11.3 patch

First of all new xp loss rate are only for test purpose, its still beta - just to remind.
Second keep penalty too high, and casual players when hit merciless will just quit game. And u know - most of them will not give any feedback at this forum.
Why u even need to keep those ratio at frusrating level? to show that u better and smarter then 95% other players, because they build suck??? They will just quit game to make you feel better - its stupid.

Its very easy to test make 2 leagues, one with 7,5/15 ratio and other with 3/8 ratio. After that check where most ppl playing, and where they leave more money.

So "harcore" please keep whining in year or two u will be here alone...

Good luck!

First time one patch really sucks

Remarks like this i consider like whining, there are more. No one would adjust penalty ratio from 8% to 10% if there were no whining/feedback

I'm a relatively new player to POE, but have years of XP playing similar games.

I appreciate all the work that has gone in to the development of this game and am close to contributing to the efforts financially...something I have never done on a "free to play" game.

So while GGG is experimenting I would throw my vote at keeping the death penalty high. I believe the most fun I have ever had "leveling" in game was Battlefield 2, yeah I know it's a FPS, but I really felt a sense of accomplishment leveling. In a game like this it should take 100's of hours of game play to make lvl100 and I may never reach it because of my character ADD.

I hear the complains about RMTing and how difficult it is to trade for us noobs, which in my experience guilds help level this out somewhat. For me this is one of the glaring needs in POE - guilds and a better in game trading system. I suggest looking at AIKA's version of these...they did a pretty good job.

So far GGG has really impressed me by getting a lot of basic stuff right. Looking forward to seeing where the game is taken moving forward.
I've lost control of the controls...

Hopefully some nice changes to searing bond will make it in :). I am already using it and can't wait to use the upgraded version ^^.
GGG Rules! :-)

Dying because of bugs and desyncs is just de-motivating and it usualy stops me from playing PoE for a while.
If GGG want to keep death penalties, they must finaly eliminate these De-syncs in a serious manner, OR they have to reduce/remove the penalties. Whatever they do, Lags/desyncs and death penalties can not stay both in the game imho.
I usualy have a stable and low ping Internet connection, no problems at all with other online games, only PoE makes trouble, my chara and enemies do re-positoning alot, especialy in fast moving situations, tight areas and boss-fights in general. And these Rock-monsters that should just roll over you (I guess) usualy just teleport and always hit you, no matter how fast you dodge.
Stuff like this kills PoE for me so I can not understand why some people want the game to punish the players for stuff, they can't avoid. If you want to be punished, play hardcore please, softcore was always "casual" for people without much time and for people like me who just want to relax during gaming.
It seems, GGG listens more to the hardcore players (who may be not even play softcore).

Again, If penalty then without De-Sync! If de-Sync stays (and I guess it will be forever in this game) then please without death penalties in softcore. Nothing less, nothing more.

made a big post . then realizing you wont listen anyways
Woot! Good to hear on the XP penalty. 15% was to much and 8% was to little. 10% Sounds just about right to me. Still think there needs to be a hard cap on it somewhere in the neighborhood of level 75-80.. as in never loose more than 10% of level 75s XP no matter what your level is.

Also good to hear about Incinerate buff and possible Searing Bond buff.. Incinerate just needs to remove the whole phase thing and just go strait to level 3 fire. Searing Bond needs to be affected by more than 1 gem.. Increased AoE/Concentrated Effect, Penetrate Fire, and possibly any increased spell/fire damage passives/affixes.

its possible to avoid death to desync . learn to spot it and dont use the desync heavy skills (whirling blades, cyclone, shield charge and to some extent leap slam) . i have never died to desync except once in a race at lvl 11 or so. its not a good thing for the game but its not that huge an issue as people want it to be.

if you are worried about if your not in the right spot use /oos
