Not sure why you listened to the hard cores and increased the death penalty over your original decision for the casual league. Very disappointing. Just died again in merc, still trying to improve my build and gear but really am not enjoying getting pushed back and back over and over. Better things to do than spend another few weeks trying to gain 1 level.

10% is still way to high for xp loss would like to see it at around 7%. Frustrating enough as it is thanks and 75% of all deaths are caused by your stupid #$%^ing desync so why dont you do us all a favor and removed the penalty untill you can purchase better servers and fix your desyncing issues.

I think I proposed this somewhere: remove XP penalty, make gear degrade with use, and special degrade with death. Fix the damn economy if you will let items from HC slip into SC all the time. New players don't trade (at least for a period of time until they decide if they stay in PoE or not), older players don't need stuff. Don't make stuff degrade in HC leagues, just SC leagues.
yea, I know it like in D3. But that's one of the good things you can actually learn from D3.

the issue with degrading is once you are broke and all of your gear is busted it's pretty much re-roll time, unless you have multiple characters and farm for mats to repair your main--ewww.

I'm a softcore player, and I love the xp penalty. The drop in penalty is fine. I was a little disappointed at the initial numbers, but I feel 5/10 is just perfect.

would add interesting dimension to gameplay wouldn't it? ;)

Keep up the good work, enjoying the game.

I don't get the death penalty qq, risk is a parallel concept to reward. Player feedback as always is 10% useful and 90% poison. This game has the feel of developer design and not that of a constantly qqing playerbase. Having a solid design philosophy is key to fanbase that sticks around. I haven't enjoyed a arpg this much since my D2 days.

This is incorrect. D3 is the most popular ARPG on the market and it has 0% experience loss penalty, and Torchlight 2 (probably the 2nd most popular ARPG selling 2+ million units) has a 0% experience loss penalty as well.

Diablo 2's experience loss penalty in Hell when fetching your body was only 2.5%.

Not sure how your team came up with "same vales used in other popular action RPGs"...

D3 has the most popular forums on the internet.
Most of them don't actually play the game and will reccomend you to poe or d2 if you ask.
The forums are hillarious, but I wouldn't want that kinda popularity in poe.

Im a child because i play softcore?

Lets see, STRESSFUL job, actually dealing with self righteous, self centered people....hint hint.

Id really love to see these hipster kripp-tool BOI's in real life, id love to see how they function and get by. Who tolerates these people? They act like they're so good but they all MAP HACK and bot, that moron gankstaboo SLIPPED and actually revealed he map hacks...well his party does....pathetic under your l33t skilled fa-sad you are just kiddies that download your tools from ownedcore lol.

Your phat l3wtz and lvl 95 on hardcore translates to NOTHING in real life, so why act like you are on some special level? The internet has created these detached people that no longer see a difference between real and digital, sad and one day your tattooed covered hipster ass will have to get real and at that point it's gonna suck, you cant deliver pizzas for the rest of your life kids.

Your Starbucks obama liberal utopia is a lie and aint gonna be here forever either.

EDIT: GGG is acting like a chicken with its head cut off, wasting time on worthless shit, and adding a new skill with so much broken crap out there now...they have lost focus.

Besides the Obama line, this is actually a decent comment.
btw, 'Hardcore' is either providing for a family or porn industry terminology.
I'd tear apart every 'hardcore gamer' like a wet newspaper.
Games should be fun, not ridiculously hard and solely playable by the dedicated-for-life-and-no-clue-what-a-real-woman-looks-like 24/7 playin ultrageeks.

The elitists are the ones telling everyone how HC they are and then whining about the game beeing to easy in SC, because now everybody can play it. They have their hard game, and they want it to be as hard for everybody, not realising that not everybody is a masochist.

I'm gonna use this quote as my sig from now on.

What is with these comments on a small patch.

Ever since the time around wow wotlk every forums has had a large group of people running around trying to nerf everything. Why do they do this and where did they come from?
It reminds me of that episode of futurama where Lila plays blurmsball... Just because I'm involved in RL means I can't be a skilled gamer and should want everything hand held with no risk or reward? These people make me want to grow a neckbeard and quit my job so I don't get lumped in with these "casual" players. You can be skilled at RL and games at the same time, if you aren't it's likely that your lack of skill irl brought you here just to screw with gamers and try and make them as miserable as you to make yourself feel better. I worked hard to get a job that I can do from home to have more time gaming. If your running around trying to nerf every game on forums your not a "casual gamer", your someone who got bored of their choices and decided to criticize someone else's.

Raising a family is hardcore? Maybe in some countries. Here in the US if you lose your job they'll give you more $$ in welfare for having children than I make fixing computers. If your priority is gaming trying to raise a family legit might not be a good choice.

There's plenty of games out there that cave into these groups demands to nerf everything and add accessibility until it overrides any need to socialize with others. There's a place for those games too, but leave some untainted for those of us who enjoy a moderate challenge and mix of risk and reward with a social community.

People need to understand 2 things :
1# Not all "casuals" are helpless and want to be spoon fed.
2# If your not a developer for the game, there's a good chance that what you think you want will effect some other connected aspect and actually make the game worse for you.

Seems a little overdramatic?
I've watched what player feedback did to wow, rift, D3, Tera, swtor from beta to current.
Poe is the only game I still enjoy, new age casuals need to leave it be.

And here it is again : the link between nerfing and casualness.
99% of non-24/7 players NEVER asked to nerf wow vanilla attunements, for instance. They just did that as a policy, to nerf content so 'hardcore' players had to find new ways to get endorphines.
Who spoke about nerfing stuff ? Nothing needs to be nerfed. Devs just don't need to listen to those overachievers on top, playing day and night. Their opinion is the one that's worthless.

If this game is meant to be for those people that can play it 8 hours a day, 6 days a week, only, I'm on the wrong track.
