I have 2 unending jewels now on me and the difference is noticeable. My spectres are now always buffed af.

Something weird happened though. I switched to Cannibal Fire-eaters to try them, and now my Vaal Haste barely gets any souls. I killed a whole map, and I didn"t even have Vaal Haste for the boss. This was not the case with Frost Sentinels and Solar Guards. Obviously after Kitava's second affliction.

Any ideas?

Yea, using 2 Unending Hunger makes Vaal Haste obsolete. At least if you use melee or low range spectres such as Fire-eaters. The spectres have a range, roughly around half the screen, from which they "eat the souls" to get Soul Eater stacks. With ranged spectres you should be able to still load up Vaal Haste, even with 2 Unending Hungers.

Yes, as I said had no problems using Vaal Haste with Solar Guards or Frost Sentinels. I guess the Cannibals are REALLY bad for mapping. But they completely destroy bosses.
I switched from Solar Guards to Frost Sentinels and it feels a lot better for mapping.
Anyone have any recommendations for anything I could do to upgrade or anything I might have wrong?
Gear

I've been using single curse and CoH with my shield charge, it feels better imo but I might eventually switch to dual curse and lightning ball. I like the ease of using only shield charge all the time though.

Sorry for the late replies busy over the weekend.

I have another question: Has anybody else been testing with 2 Unending Hunger jewels? I feel like using two instead of just one is a huge clear speed buff. Really huge. We would of course lose the life and minion damage from the jewel slot, but it is easily worth it. The cast speed we get from double the amount of Soul Eater stacks is insane. At least right now it feels like it makes my T15 Beachhead runs with Solar Guards much faster. Will try to get some hard numbers tomorrow.

Also, what overlay/tool are you using to get the buff icon above your lifebar?

Unending hunger:
Think of it this way spectre has a 50% chance to GAIN the buff for 30s on kill. If a spectre kills the first pack of a map they already have the buff for 30s due to shear chance (50% is high). Since an additional unending will grant 100% chance to have soul eater on the first pack of mobs the second jewel really doesn't increase the efficiency of the unending hunger effect at all.

Its also a trade off for a small amount of utility. I rather have 7% hp and 16% minion damage.

overlay/tool
MercuryTrade

Not sure what you are trying to achieve with the baron. Divine your bisco.

Quick question: you suggest using Elemental Focus on the Frost Sentinels, in conjunction with Hypothermia. Doesn't Elemental Focus negate the benefits of Hypothermia? The skill can't inflict status ailments if you're using Elemental Focus, and Hypothermia relies on chill to get the bonus damage. Plus, Elemental Focus would negate the big benefit of freezing/shattering enemies for extra safety. Is there an interaction I'm missing?

Oh, im already using MercuryTrade, just never bothered with the buff icons :D

And I guess it was my imagination that 2 hungers provide more clearspeed. Because if it really works as you say then 2 instead of 1 should have close to no effect.

Spectres dont proc EE. So even if you don't do anything they will not lose damage through EE. But you do have your Ball Lightning dual curse setup. So on tougher packs and on bosses you just shoot your baal lightning every so often to put 2 curses on them and proc EE, all in one click ;) And as I said, Spectre spells don't reset EE to another element so after a Ball Lightning your Spectres will deal additional fire or cold damage for the whole 4 seconds EE is active.
I really feel Frost Sentinels are just a league of their own for mapping.

But it's annoying hey don't have a high tier maps location, and need to rely on lunar fanatics mod.
ok thanks for the accurate and fast respond :) Was looking for a nice summoner build and i think i found it .Good job.
