I am now using Poacher's mark instead of temporal chains, (temp chains only on super hard bosses). This shit is sooo good. With all that curse effectiivess u gain 175% increase flask recovery and also 71% chance for all your minions to gain frenzy charges which is even more dmg and faster move atk and cast faster. The addition of the poacher's mark really amped the build up further and lets me spam the crap out of my flasks with no down time.

Here are the 3 spectre I think are the strongest right now.

1. Flame Sentinel + Min Dmg + Spell Echo + Controlled Destruction + Elemental Focus + GMP
2. Knitted Horror + Min Dmg + GMP + Rapid Decay + Slower Proj + Pierce
3. Undying Alchemist + Min dmg + GMP + Cluster Traps + elemental focus + Spell echo

Knitted Horror : Most tanky, extreme bleed dmg with that setup
Flame Sentinels : Balanced middle ground
Undying Alchemist : very viable now with the 100% increased life node. It does insane dmg. I am one shotting T8 and T9 bosses with them.


I too love the knitted horrors but just so you know I am fairly certain they have 100% built in pierce so wouldnt something like physical projectile attack damage better fit you for a gem?

I used the pierce gem solely for the projectile more damage. Projectile damage scales both the initial hit and bleed at the same time while Phy proj only scales the initial dmg.

Yep, I actually found the ultimate support gem combo for them now.

I was thinking, Knitted Horrors + GMP + MinDmg + Less Duration + Rapid Decay + Poison

I am not sure my math is correct how does reduced and less duration interact?
is it 15% X 1.5? or do u add those? 50 + 15 for 65% reduced duration?

If what i think is correct monsters will take the full bleed damage in 1.75 seconds and ready to apply the next bleed, toss in some poison to stack on bosses and high hp rares.

I am not sure about duration but if that works that could be an insane amount of damage. They already never die but if that works their damage could be crazy. I just like them so much because when I get them I never have to get them again unless I d/c unlike other spectres but maybe that 100% life ascendancy node will change that. I'll definitely have to do some playing around of my own once I get to maps. Love summoners

I made it to merciless yesterday and I am about to start playing act 1 now. I have 10 zombies and 5 spectres and 1 chaos golem. But my life and ES sux hard atm ( 1800 ( 30 % reserved from Bargain / 1000 ES ). It is my only toon and I cant really afford to buy stuff from other players so... but I love the build so far and also the Ascendancy class as a Necromancer. Running haste and wrath with some aura reduction nods to be able to cast Punishment curse. Should I use another curse or is it ok for my zombies ?

I have two questions tho.
- why you link poison to zombies ? whats the idea behind that ? Why is poison so important to have ?
- The Asc passive which is your offering affects you aswell, well... I am using flash offering, why would I want that buff ? I dont need cast speed, neither attack speed and only for the movespeed its like wasting 2 points.

That 100% life node makes a lot of spectre viable. I was even using tentacle miscreations just to try them and they are the squishiest monsters i can think of and they were fine. With the 100% life node Knitted Horrors just never die. Well actually malformation laser will prob still kill them lol.

Ideally use my curse setup if you are following my build exactly. its been optimized for synergy.

So poison deals 10% of your chaos and physical combined damage as a dot each second and can keep stacking on top of each other. On bosses if all of your zombies keeps hitting them the poison stacking will get higher and higher, towards the last 1/2 of the bosses' hp bar they will be taking so much poison dmg it will be like a culling strike at 50% health. Poison also double dips with minion damage. What this means is that minion damage scales the initial hit which makes poison hit harder. But afterwards minion damage works again on degen damage. Minion damage will buff both of those damage at the same time. Double dip.

That node is one of the most broken subclass node in the game. Flesh offering is ok gives u move/atk spd and cast spd which is nice for doing everything a bit faster. Makes u move much quicker with whirling blades. Makes u cast ur CoH setup faster. The real game changer is bone offering when u fight high damage bosses. You can cap your block chance which makes you tanky and your minions really tanky. With that up its very hard to die. Also it gives skill effect duration which is amazing for your offering and vaal haste.

rapid decay and physical projectile damage, are kind of the same in the end. rapid decay is more for the degen but not the up front where as physical proj will scale the upfront but not the degen.

the attack speed penalty is negligible on spectres because they have ai which prevents them from constantly attacking anyway.

@Mega_ten. punishment is an awful curse. drop it like a sack of potatoes , midnight sucks too. the extra spectre is definitively not worth the less life mod unless you have a hp pool around 3000 and an es pool around 5000

otherwise things like the jungle vally boss will 1 shot you through your es.

Hey Salty, do you think this is the ideal Knitted Horror setup? to scale the degen.

Knitted Horrors + GMP + MinDmg + Less Duration + Rapid Decay + Poison.

I know replacing poison with a More proj will be better for the bleed but that poison support is going to scale so well with unholy might, atziri promise.

Love the critiques, keep them coming. It helps me think about potential weaknesses or spots i missed that i didn't think about.

U may add Wither gem to burst bosses or if have 2 unset rings, maybe ever totem-wither setup <
