I share your concerns but I think the main reason why they nerfed smoke mine was so we can't put minions on top of bosses like lvl 72 torture chamber where you want to get right in his face.

Didn't most of us just teleport with lightning warp or jump spam with leap slam to boss and use smoke mine to immediately surround the boss? Now we can't do that. It's a good change imo.

The only thing i don't like is that now there is no way to bring stuck minions to our location. Maps like lvl 73 cells tend to be a pain with minions getting stuck everywhere.

2. The nerf to evangelists was needed. I am surprised they didn't remove the bubble entirely.
I used increased duration gem before this patch and will continue to use it after patch anyway.
The bubble is nice vs projectiles.

All in all the nerfs were needed imo.

edit: I just realized. BO doesn't buff resistance and spell block probably doesn't work well for voidbear attack does it ? So I have a resistance problem.

I think the nerf was mainly to limit the summoner atziri farmers. Smoke mine + evangelist was too powerful in that fight, and makes it so that you don't need to re-summon mid fight, which makes it so that you can snapshot your minions.

I've been trying out voidbearer from wharf map. They work really really well. It's like dual flame totem but better.

Working really really well, lightning coil is fan-fucking-tastic. Don't have an alpha's howl yet so I don't use purity of lightning, and consequently don't take inner force and aura effectiveness nodes. I feel so tanky with this set up it's awesome

Yeah teleporting minions to bosses was a good way to kill them are you saying we should just avoid those bosses entirely or accept that we should lose minions every time we attempt those bosses? Its like using leap slam on a melee character to close the distance.

Btw that wasn't the reason why they nerfed smoke mine. All the summoner nerfs so far is pretty much from what the people at the top of the ladders are doing. CoD was noticed by the majority of the player base because some streamer was using it to get to level 100. People streamed smoke mine + evangelist combo to fight Atiziri. It was nerfed this patch as well.

Are you capping their fire resist? There is no way a 7k zombie would die in a 67 map xD...

idk. My RZ is level 19.

I do have the +16% elemental resistance node in the tree.

It does seem to me that running PoF/PoC/PoL is much more effective than PoE, and I think that's probably my main source of trouble.

Unfortunately I missed the discussions about minion armor and stats, so I don't know how to check what their resists are.

Are you running any purity auras? Your zombies get the effects of your auras if they are near you.

purity of elements. as I was saying, I think running the individual purity auras is much more effective and that's what I should go back too and try again.

i suppose an easy way to test would be to run docks and see the difference in the damage the zombies take against voidbears.

The rumor from another thread on this subject said not so much, but there was no consensus.

My assumption would be that they _are_ going to be harder, so I was surprised to read that.

Unfortunately these sort of inadvertent buffs/nerfs happen way too often. Easy for them to patch, so we shouldn't have to wait too long for the rebalance.

Don't sell Fairgrave's Tricorne just yet.
