Item Allocation Specifics

Well, you see, it's not about 'hardcoreness.' If it was, they should appreciate the patch, as GGG has given them the option for a pure FFA mode, which should be their wet dream. Yet they're complaining.

Why? Why complain when no one is forcing them to do perm allocation? Why complain when they have access to an even more 'hardcore' mode? As has been stated already, it's because now people that don't like that don't have to play with them. Now, if they want to ninja loot, they're going to have to be competing against players that also are trying their best to ninja loot.

This is why their talk about 'competition' is BS. The new FFA mode will allow them to play with other like-minded players, giving them the ultimate competition. They can play FFA and avoid all those 'filthy casuals' that they seem to hate, and GGG gets more players and money to improve the game. Win-win, right?

But you see, it's not about competition. It's not about a lack of hardcoreness. It's that now they're going to have a lot more trouble ninjaing loot. That's why they're upset about these options.

It's not fine, as long as the game is plagued with desynch. And currently, it is.

True, but then the focus should be on fixing desynching, not whether or not the punishment is appropriate.

This does nothing to effect your game experience whatsoever. Team with FFA groups and revel in your hardcore superiority, while your loot is being stolen from you, thank that person for being even more hardcore than you.

Meanwhile, I will focus on killing mobs and not having to be constantly scouring the ground like I am playing loot collection whack-a-mole instead of an ARPG.

Everyone is happy.

Exactly my thoughts! But in much poorer English. :)

"A frequently requested change is a "Map to Maker" system. Traditionally, players who want to play Maps with strangers run the risk of having the Map drops grabbed by people who didn't pay the cost to create the area. In 0.11.0, white Maps allocate to the creator of the Map for all types of parties. This will mean that it's safer allow friends or strangers into an area that you have spent a Map or currency on. "

Amazing... GGG keep up the good work, Thank you

True, but for now, the statement "you fuck up, you get punished" has no real meaning, as currently, most of my deaths are "rubber banding" related. Besides that, why not giving people more choice by creating a separate league with lower death penalties? Some people like to be entertained by different options. Variety is the mother of enjoyment, right? The more people like and play PoE, the better for all of us.

Theres a reason why people like you get immediately kicked from any group.

your elitist points are only based on the shortage of maps. especially in higher levels.

you are argumenting from your player point of view. i'm a step further and want the game more balanced for a majority of players. giving low level players a chance to get maps out of higher level maps theyre helping to finish adds to it as they can provide more quality maps to later runs and so stay in the group. and get not kicked.

I must say I do agree with you making these changes even though I enjoyed it as it was, I know of many people wanting to play maps in public due to lack of "friends" but who despite the idea of having their map drops stolen. I find this solution exemplary as a first of the stage, but you never know what the future will look like.. perhaps it needs some final touches, anyways, great patch as usually GGG!

a gaming community is a society. give a society the option to pay taxes to help others or not.
what's your expectation? exactly.

Let alone that FFA is as far from being competitive as it can get.
