$12USD On Sale For A Map Tab?
" So... when was the last new stash tab for real money released and why don't we get new ones anymore? |

Don't buy it then, you can still use the normal tabs...(of which you need 64 to give the same amount of space as the map tab)

" Is this question serious? The last one? Was it yesterday or 2 days ago? It's the map tab. It holds your waystones. People paid $30 for EA in a game, and 95%+ of the time you'll spend in the game revolves around a system that requires you to buy MTX unless you want to suffer through clutter, not having enough stash space, etc. Map tab should've been included with all EA supporter packs or should've been released within EA as an MTX from the start. Period. There are a lot of new players who bought EA and had no clue this was a thing. GGG never communicated clearly in-game about this so that players could save a few coins to buy it once it was released. Case in point: there are already a couple posts of new players saying this was a scummy move. There's absolutely no way you're naive enough to defend GGG here. They knew exactly what the endgame was going to be a long time ago when they started developing the new endgame. They knew they were going to need to release some sort of map tab way before they released 0.1.0 They knew there were a lot of newcomers to the game who had no clue what a map was and that there was a near-mandatory MTX around it in PoE 1. They had more than plenty of time to port the map tab to PoE before releasing EA. Why do you think they've waited 2.5 months to release it? They knew exactly what they were doing. Walking along the edge between leaving old PoE players pissed about the lack of map tabs and waiting so that as many newcomers as possible have already spent their 300 coins and are forced to put more money into the game. Inb4: "bueeeeh but it's unfair to people who previously bought the map tab in PoE 1. I don't want newcomers to get for free what I had to pay for" Paid games that were way more expensive than the map tab became F2P almost overnight in the past. No actual adult cares. No serious person cares that the pocket change they spent years ago is now being handed for free if it means more people will play the game and have more fun with it. About the second part of your question: why it has been a while since they've added completely new tabs? PoE 1 has been a bloated game for a while now, that's why. Why do you think PoE 2 is here and is basically PoE 1 without all the bloat and a clean slate? Last edited by _rt_#4636 on Feb 17, 2025, 4:36:48 PM

" Well, the map tab is actually not new, it was released in 2017. What you think about is the PoE2 version of this specific tab, but that's not a "new tab" - it's an old tab in a new game. If you bought it in PoE1 you still have it in PoE2. Btw. spending 30 bucks on the EA helps your argumentation how? You know that the 30-buck pack came with 300 points for you to spend on stuff like tabs!? Anyway. " Nope, it should have not been included in the supporter packs because ppl who already have map tabs then would get another unneeded one instead of points to spend freely. I mean, if you've spent all your points on the few things in the store while 99% of things aren't even in the PoE2 store atm, I don't see why GGG is to blame!? I had a lot of ppl asking in global chat "What is the best thing to spend my points on?" and every single time the answer was "Stash tabs, but wait until the map tab is implemented and GGG has a stash tab sale". Wouldn't call that scummy. You bought an "Early Access Key" and got the same value in points on top. " I am sorry. I don't make assumptions about "Why GGG took so long to add a map tab" based on speculations with no hard evidence. " You know, I am not against free stash tabs (from my point of view) because I don't care if someone gets something for free I already paid for, BUT stash tabs are a big part of GGGs income and are something you only "need" to buy if you want to grind end game. So you can enjoy the game for free as long as you want and if you like it and want the end game grind you pay a smaller "box price" to get a few tabs. " That does not answer the question in the slightest, but I have to admit... if you don't know you don't know. So, GGG had over the last years often the chance to add new stash tabs (for real money), for example, "Harvest/Expedition/Heist" but the "Delirium Stash Tab" in early 2020 was the last one. Why? Because the already existing tabs were enough and creating new ones for real money was something they wanted to avoid thus they implemented "crates" for new league mechanics with special currency for free (Heist locker/Harvest thingy/etc.). And yes, a flask/gem tab was added too, but they are so niche for lazy ppl - they were asked by the community. Last edited by JakkerONAIR#4902 on Feb 17, 2025, 5:03:07 PM

" Sorry, I remember you by name, so I know what type of poster you are. I literally stopped reading here. You clearly did not read what I wrote, or you lacked the necessary resources understand it. I won't waste my time with you in this thread. Good luck. PS: No need to reply to this. I'm just letting you know I literally give up on this discussion with you personally. " "I literally stopped reading here. You clearly did not read what I wrote, or you lacked the necessary resources understand it." Imagine saying that I did not read what you wrote, I did and understood it, while you don't read what I wrote, ironic. If you think GGG should've added a "disclaimer" with "WARNING: hold on to your points until a map tab is added!", sure... there is room for argumentation. |

" Shouldn't even have to. GGG Creates a problem. Like.. adding in hundreds of maps. And then they sell the solution, a new map tab to store those maps. Predatory, manipulative way to make money. |

" Sure. They created the game and the map system and with the created system it's better to have a map stash than not, but you don't need a map stash until the late end game when you already should know if you like the game and would spend money to enjoy it for longer. They need to make money and can't develop purely on air and love - and no, the "skin" sales are not enough. This is not "Genshin Impact" where you have sooo many whales spending hundreds of bucks every time they login. |

" Lol. See, Even when you're blatantly being taken advantage of, you'll still defend it. Plenty of ways to make money that don't involve doing shit like this. When was the last time you played a game that emphasized fun and enjoyment, over predatory money making tactics like this? Do you even remember? |

72x16 = 1152
1152/144 = 8 regular stash tabs 8x20 = 160 coins 160-120 - 40 coins saved That does not include the functionally of the tab that auto-sorts your 16 different waystones by tier. It's arguably the most useful stash tab in the game behind the currency tab. |
