$12USD On Sale For A Map Tab?
" It's a business tactic. No matter how scummy or predatory it is, at the end of the day, it's still a way for them to make money. That's all there is to it. You can have personal feelings about it, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a business move. In the end, they just want your money. It's what they live and work for related to this game. They don't care about you as a person at all. It's up to you to decide if it's worth your money or not. I paid for it because I have chosen to live in a virtual bubble, in which i think outweight the reality of the real world. |

Literally everything JakkerONAIR#4902 said is what I would have said. +2 for actually having a brain and some common sense. People are just so blinded by the idea of ingame purchases without considering its a live service game designed to be free on release, and designed to let you invest hundreds if not thousands of hours into it.
I'm over here looking at the steam store of single player games priced at $80+ for at most a few dozen hours. Some even now passing the $110mark and still having DLC... People really need to calm it down with the hate and wild speculation. |

" Would rather have a good ARPG that had 400 hours of solid gameplay, than a live service with 10,000 hours of mediocre gameplay, and I would rather pay 100$ outright for that game, than spend 100$ in microtransactions for a mediocre liveservice. I would even prefer to play the better, paid game, over a completely free, mediocre live service game. Even if you paid me to play it, I probably still wouldn't consider it, not unless it was a substantial amount. Game doesn't need to be live service, and most live service games do not have good quality. It is the unfortunate reality when your goal is to make money, instead of making a good solid game. There are a few exceptions, but they're just that. An exception. GGG could be an exception though. They could emphasize the gameplay. They could come out on top. Just because something is free, doesn't mean it's better because of it. It's usually the opposite for games unfortunately. Unless the company has some morals and integrity, and passion to deliver a quality product. Very few companies are like this these days. Last edited by Akedomo#3573 on Feb 18, 2025, 12:00:21 AM
