$12USD On Sale For A Map Tab?

Theres no valid reason for people to complain about a game that is free 2 play. Dont buy stuff...no issue...so what?

Classic game design for extracting as much money out of people as possible.

Design a problem. And then sell the solution for it.

Oh, we put 200 different maps in the game and you're running out of space in your 5 tiny stash tabs? Well... if you give us 15$, we'll give you a new stash tab to sort them!!

Oh, new patch. Look, we have Trading cards now!! Oh.. you don't have space in your 6 stash tabs for the 500 trading cards we just added? Well, if you hand us 15$, we can give you a new stash tab that should solve that problem!!

If a game is fun and the gameplay loop isn't disrespecting your time, I see no issue with wanting to support the devs.

Yeah. I have no issue supporting a fun game.

I do however, have issues with game companies designing problems and selling solutions for them. Even if the game is super fun.

You could just support them through cosmetics. But they made it so that you have to buy stash tabs to be able to use your stash.

That's a predatory tactic no matter how you look at it. Lots of game companies employ them these days.

a one time purchase in a free that's still good 10 years after I bought it while that game has seen quarterly updates the entire time and even still works in the next game they release isn't predatory...... you can totally play the game without the QOL stuff and do just fine it just takes way more time. Like if everything was free they wouldn't make money as most ppl don't care about cosmetics.
I have no problems with dropping some money on a f2p game occasionally, been doing that with warframe for a long time.

The thing that slightly pisses me off with this map stash is:
A: putting it in at the END of a stash sale, where i already dropped money on less useful tabs, then "forcing" me to put more money in again.

B: the map tab cant hold tablets. so.. what are tablets for if not endgame mapping my dear friends at ggg? or is there an extra tablet-tab on the way? thats really greedy imho, and i'm not exactly happy right now
Getting a useful update like this and demanding of your community to purchase the new stash tab, after they already purchased your early access game is really disappointing.

You could at least give us a slim version of this stash and ask for money to expand the stash....

I must say, i am really disappointed. I really like PoE 2 but this took the funny away, after i got hyped, seeing the video....

You knew the tab was coming. You knew it's cost. Why couldn't you save 120 coins for when it was activated?

Want my advice as someone who's sunk 1k hours in this game across 8+ years?
Drop the game now. Save yourself your own time and future money.
These things will only get worse as leagues are released.
And GGG, being the game's developer has all the power to force you into either suffering through deliberate poor game design, or buying MTX to receive basic QoL features.
They bundle the tabs that don't change in value.

Over the years different tabs have gained or lost value. Map kinda grew in value since they added Void Stones. We used to get a buncha low tier junk maps not worth picking up.

Fragments Tab also went up quite a bit in value. While others like Blight and Metamorph (Ultimatum) have gone down in value. I can't remember the last time I used my Delve tab.

Even if they wanted to have a bundle. There's no way to determine what you find valuable.
I personally think for PoE1 the Unique tab is a waste of points but plenty have it.

This does not invalidate the point that for a few basic things you can make a stripped down version freely available.

I would gladly pay to expand the stash. Not purchasing the stash itself...
It's holding 576 of your T15's (and T16s on top) for 120points, that's the same as 4 premium tabs for 30points each (144 x 4).

So yeah it's not really a super 800% value deal, but it's fine idk what you expected

You could argue premium tabs are more value cause you can put everything else into it and i agree, but as a poe1 player i don't really care, map tab for poe1 is pretty important imo
