Please do NOT add an Auction House
" Then make bots against the ToS in the auction house. Every transaction would need to be initiated and completed by a person. It could be stash to stash, synchronous, or asynchronous through use of an escrow type of system. The seller deposits his or her item into the "sales room," and once a trade is initiated the item can't be touched. It goes for the price listed. If I sell "something" worth 10 divine for 10 exalts, why should you care? Perhaps I'm not motivated by making the most currency I can at the expense of others. Perhaps I'm enjoying the game, and want to help out other people, without robbing them blind, so they can get enjoyment as well. If something is of no use to me then why shouldn't I sell it cheap, and help someone along while I do it? I work hard at my job to make money, I don't want my gaming leisure time to be a second job. I play mostly SSF because there are too many people trying to squeeze the most profit out of every transaction because they see it as a zero sum meta-game, and I find it tiresome. I'm certainly no pro gamer, but have been at it long enough that I've learned that every game with an economy becomes hyper-inflationary without proper currency sinks, and only pro gamers end up affording high end gear. It's even worse when there is a RMT black market going on outside the game. Just my thought. |

What all players want is:
It will ruin it for the farmers and ecomy controllers for sure, and be a long needed blessing for the regular players. Only scammer wouldnt want this.
" So what I'm hearing is you're either a scammer or price fixer? Cant see why else you wouldn't want an auction house... |
The current trading system is terrible and drop rates are made with trading in mind. Horrible combination.
" So, we get to end scamming, price fixing, annoying people who list low and go on dnd just to troll, we get to move faster, we get to pay more standardized prices for everything.... But nobody looks at your hideout. Yeah... I'll make that trade. If you want the social component that badly get in a global channel with a group, join a guild, do party play, or trade in trade chat or something. | |
Don't really need an auction house. GGG will give you 2 tabs, 1 is a "remove only" and one is a "Sale Only" tabs, these will be 4x Tabs.
What you need is that when somebody puts an item in the sale tab, there's a confirmation dialogue box for how much they want to sell it for. When confirmed, the item goes into the tab where you can decide not to sell it and take it back out for X gold (based upon affixes or sale price, whichever is higher). When someone wishes to buy the item, rather than a whisper to a player, it's accepted as a trade online and a system takes it from the "Sale Only" tab of the seller and puts it into the "remove only" tab of the buyer. The transfer of currency could go to either your currency tab, or the "remove only" tab. I'd personally suggest the "remove only" as that is an easier way of notification that something sold to the player. You can connect this system into the current online trade system and it will make things easier to track as well as for RMT sales and other violations. ya i hate trade site. would much more prefer ingame AH. i dont have time or care to look threw a site then send a message then wait for a response then wait for a invite then port to a base then wait there for a trade then port back to my base for a transaction.
create a new stash tab called AH purchase. that lets you search the site an deposites the item directly into the stash when you purchase it. when item is put into the selling stash its locked in place for 24hrs after the price is set. or seller has to cancel the sell with absurd gold penalty cost. |

I don't need an auction house, but I definitely do NOT want to really on the sellers goodwill to buy the item from him when he already listed it as "for sale". I also do NOT want to have to portal out of whatever I do to sell something.
And no, I'm not a new player. And by the way, this is a dumb argument. Last edited by Sephiroth_000#5511 on Jan 17, 2025, 10:40:54 PM

as a console player I HATE trade website. It needs to be in game. Better yet allow us to actually craft the items we want.
