Please do NOT add an Auction House
" And somehow that's the auction house's fault? If you underpriced an item because you didn't price-check, that's on you, buddy. That aside, I'm starting to think they didn't want to change the current system because they wanted to inflate the number of active players, just like most other mechanics in this game that were designed to squeeze as much time out of players as possible. |

This game needed an auction house on launch. I thought the technology from vanilla WoW wasn't mystical and game breaking. I hope the community shouts you down for your ignorance.

" Doesn't seem like it would be technologically impossible to require the player to be online for their auction house listings to show if they want inflated numbers. I'm still hopeful they are quietly working on changing the trade system. As it's just Stockholm syndrome wanting to keep it as is. |
|
" Who's to say that even with an auction house, after buying your item you don't have to go pick it up? Just because you have an in game interface for buying items from people doesn't necessarily mean it needs to be automatically delivered to you. |

🤡Extremely poor trolling attempt, there are no people that stupid in reality, go try again.

Add auction house.
Until its added I will spam 10s of persons 1 sec interval and select randomly who answers and decline all others. I want to play the game and not browse warez in WWWW and try to whisper persons who does not answer. I want best price and do buyout and be done with it. Otherwise I will spam and spam and decline all others. |

"you can change your mind about selling it for too little after getting spammed by countless whisper"
this is why we need auction house |
|
" Price fixer\scammer detected. What actually current trade offers is ability to play on "lower the price" without actually sarificinggoods because one simpy can ignore whispers. Also people spam listings with random stuff in hopethat something woud be bought, as listing item is completely free and unlimited. whisper siystem currently is also highly auomated and dominated by bot traders. |

It's easy to ask for NO Auction house when one is blind to how the current trading works.
As is, groups of abusers of the system are posting items in their sales tabs with no intent of selling. They flood the market with seemingly cheap items, but it's a fraud. These groups only hold power as long as the system is flawed, and they are easily overturned by the people by demanding a working trading system like an AH. People will look at the items they want to sell, find 50 flooded prices of the same low price and sell theirs for the same or lower. But the catch is; the items were never for sale for that price and you just sold your item for what you thought was the free market price. Imagine going to an IRL auction, raising your hand to drive up the price, but when you actually won the item you just said "naaah lol I was kidding". That would not fly as your bid becomes a legal contract of buying the item. The reasoning here is obvious. Additionally, No AH also makes noob items not worth selling. 1 EX items? Not spending time on selling those to someone who might enjoy them. How many whispers are sent a day with no intent of replying? Even if not fraudulent. Going through 21 people to get a reply isn't a trading system in practice. As noted elsewhere in threads around this too, having to leave the game to do trading (alt-tabbing) is not captivating and how a game should be operated. Supporters of no AH are mainly scammers and the ones abusing the system, or those ignorant to the fact that the current system is fraudulent and abused like no other trading systems. There is a reason oldschool games realized this fact after a decade of being without. An example is Falador Park for those oldschool Runescapers. I also look fondly on it with my rose tinted glasses, but it belongs in the history books for a reason. The upgraded WoW AH is also a good example that lead to countless hours freed up from having to battle a clunky database. For super rare items with no clear price, one could of course use the traditional trading route. Example: Selling a 3rd Age Pickaxe on OSRS. Make a modern, easy to use AH to free up time to play the game and avoid scams and whisper spams, and send the items directly to the buyer. People crying for an AH don’t realize people will just start listing items in a different way. People will still dump items into a tab, and you’ll still have to whisper to buy majority of items. Any item worth the time to sell will just be listed at an absurd price as to not accidentally sell to low, or all tabs now just be turned to b/o. You will still need to wait for an answer on majority of trades. If you think prices are inflated now, just think of them with an AH where people fear of miss pricing. (I know it may be hard for the emotional AH advocates to think of all outcomes)
