Trial of sekhema is really bad

Lvl 71 Titan. 3rd ascendancy. Full bar of 2,200 honor on the 2nd floor. Get nailed with an ignite or something while attacking a rare monster - honor goes to zero in about 1.5 seconds. Waste of 30 careful minutes of playing absurdly defensively

This is not a measure of skill. It is not fun. It is miserable.


if you got unlucky and got the 5% hp on hit affliction, there are monsters that hit a lot of times very fast and can do this sadly
I am really angry right now. Tried dozens of times but i simply cant get my 3rd ascendency. Having over 3000 honour which is dezimated with one or two hits is infuriating. There is SO MUCH AOE all round these rooms, its almost IMPOSSIBLE to not loose any honour. YOU GET HIT ALL THE TIME and the worst - as a MELEE character you have to get close to do damage at all.

Whoever designed this should get fired. Its stupid, its frustrating and its counterproductive to what the game itself stands for. You create a build which is completely negated by this bullshit mechanic.

If they dont fix this asap or make it COMPLETELY optional or offer at least 2 other methods to ascend. I am done with POE2. Because this is a CORE FEATURE to ascend. And they wont let me.
i really like the idea of this trial.
having to dodge damage however sucks.
If i die it is to having 0 or less HP but not... whatver this is.
doesnt feel good. doesnt feel fun. feels very frustrating
In my opinion, it's both way too long, and honor just sucks. I think it'd be much better if instead honor was used as a score bonus multiplier to get more higher quality rewards at the end instead of a pure failure mechanic as well as being changed so you cannot take massive honor hits and instead lock honor damage and values to more linear numbers.

This way, it's still incentivized to get through with high honor, but you have to actually die to truly lose just like in the rest of the game.

GGG made a mistake carrying over so much from poe1 instead of making new ideas.
100% armor and energy shield should reduce/prevent honor lost.

I was having fun playing a defensive focused warrior. Full on trying to build a character that could take hits and kill things with thorns. Come to Sekhema and learn that my build is useless in the game mode.

This is fixable (to some level) if you make defenses affect armor.
I have a couple disabilities that affect my manual dexterity. Whatever. I deal with it. In ARPGs I deal with it by making pretty tanky chars. I make the "I'll outlast you" character because I know I'll get hit.

Honor mode makes this impossible.

My best attempt at the first ascendency got the boss down to 30% as a warrior.

My life was never below 80%. Yet I lost.

That was my BEST attempt. There's been a couple dozen. I go out, I level up some, I get better gear.

My life NEVER gets below 80% and I lose. And I need to do this to get the really fun nodes? For real?

I already know I'll never be on any top whatever lists ever. Just lemme play the fun nodes.

Please get rid of honor
For the love of God GGG, please don't lock progression behind this honor system. Leave sanctum in the game, sure, but just don't use it for ascendancies, it's a wretched place for it

I don't want to waste an hour of my time tip toeing through 3-4 levels only to get 3 shot by a boss that I haven't been able to practice. Full honor, just destroyed.

For a guy who disliked lab, this is on whole other level of displeasure

These Trials for required skills is the dumbest shit EVER! Die once, start over. NOPE, im done! Dont enjoy any of it, and I sure the hell am not doing it again. and again. and again.. Char is basically bricked at pushing higher into endgame now.
