[POE 2] Loot Disappears On Death

It happened to me twice. Once, the boss and I killed each other simultaneously. When I came back, there was only a quest item. Then a pack of mobs attacked me just after I beat the boss. Considering that quest items stay, it's not a bug but a feature. If GGG thought the game wasn't challenging enough, if they wanted to add insult to injury, if they wanted to make players miserable when they saw how their loot disappeared, you, GGG, did well. Can't wait for die just a moment before reaching a unique. Such a good design.

same happened to me one the first Boss "Beira Of The Rotten Pack", the Loot disappeared and in cause of that I am not sure what I didn't have been able to redeem I should to get. In the Map the boss also isn't marked as done, so I have to check later if I got the +10 Cold resistance. But would be nice if you can fix the issue. THX in advance.

Same. Fought the Toxic Bloom miniboss. It dropped the uncut support gem lvl2, among other things (some currencies and some blue items). I died watching on the loot 'cause I didn't notice the chaos degen. After the death, the mini-boss quest is still completed, the monster didn't respawn, and from the entire drop, there was only a single blue item.

I am really happy with the higher difficulty right now, though I am missing the mobility, tbh, but loot shouldn't be lost after death, at least not during the campaign.

In fact, even the instance reset when dying is a bad idea.

I guess they wanted to make it a bit rogue-lite, but for me that's a step too far, at least during the campaign.

It's something different during the endgame though, since the new "maps" are now one-shot instances. -- Which I'm not that happy about either, to be honest, because games like this can be pretty unfair randomly, which means our time is wasted randomly.

Had this happen to me after killing Rath in act 2. When I killed him 20+ hyenas swarmed me as well as the mobs from the cliffs and body blocked me from moving and it ended up killing me as I was unable to move or anything. After death, I lost the unique drop and the gem that dropped.

Exact same situation. Rushed by a mob after killing Rath in Act 2. Lost an Exalt (not that valuable anymore, but still). Love the game, but this needs to change.

quest : Secrets in the Dark
Killed last boss, items dropped, then I died. Loot is gone and quest cannot be finished. I cannot progress any further. I tried respawning at checkpoint and restarting the game, it doesn't fix the problem.

Same for me, I killed Geonor and died. Now I missed the loot.
This is a really shitty experience.

If it is an intentional idea - it's dumb beyond a reasonable doubt.

Same for me on Rathbreaker, killed him then got jumped and died.
