[POE 2] Loot Disappears On Death

Same for me with the rust boss.
Died and boss dies a second later to a dot.
All items including the quest item are gone.
Char is now completly locked and can no longer progress the story.
If regular loot disappears on death fine, but questloot should never disappear, especially if its something like he rust boss where you can't activate the pylon a second time.

+1, was fighting dual boss. One died, dropped a unique.
but died to the other boss.

Came back, just 1 boss now spawned but all loot from the killed one vanished.
It doesn't feel satisfying. Getting punished for death is fine, but this is not it.
Had the same happen to me with Watchful Twins. Both died, loot is on the ground. I die after, respawn, loot gone.. including some medallion for trials of sekhema sadge...
Happened to me too. Killed the boss then the area filled with enemies pinning me to a wall killing me. Returned to no loot, good bye legendary drops... Very aggravating.

It's by design, suffer more as much Ruthless put in as they can put in.

Ridicules decision, games can be hard but should be fun. Dying and seeing a Unique on the floor that is gone with the insane reduced drop rates is just a slap in the face and not fun.

Mind blowing ...
Straight up terrible technical and/or game design for that one especially given how POE2 is drop centric vs the crafting centric nature of POE. This is very much about the drops. Just dumb.

I don't usually post on the forums, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

Who at GGG Thought this was a smart idea? What a waste of time. Lost an orb or alchemy and a exalted orb all from one boss because there was an "ambush".

The pacing of the game was bad enough, now I gotta worry about my gear disappearing?
+1 again. Same thing happened to me. Very, very frustrating to finally kill the boss only to have the loot disappear as I die to a DOT.
Yeah this is the worst design point of the game, worse than the dodge that's slower than simply walking. Drops are usually trash and infrequent. Wiping your drops and bringing mobs back without resetting the instance manually is just bad. What were the devs thinking?
+1 Happened to me after killing Rathbreaker, the ambush got me and after ress at checkpoint and the loot was gone. I remember one unique wand and a few other stuff.

I still want to believe that this is not by design but a bug.
I'll give GGG that much.

If it is an intentional idea - it's dumb beyond a reasonable doubt.
