Absolutely disapointed -- This game is hard, and not in a fun way.

+1 OP

I am at Ogham Manor and already fought against the boss there.

Combat feels to slow against normal mobs.
I like the comfort features like the minimap at the corner and the story.

I dislike the reset of the boss when you die and the dodging mechanic at all.

At current state i prefer PoE1.

I have to agree. I've never once felt powerful as a 2H mace warrior. No skills feel good, except possibly rolling slams? But sometimes it just rolls past the target while I get pelted or roll-cancel. Finally got leap slam at level 22, mobility at last! Nope. Half the range of PoE1, costs nearly double my most expensive skill, and misses targets 3 levels below me at half the time. Oh, and while in the air you take *all* the damage.

Rolling - Also not fun. If it's required, it isn't fun. Everything feels slow and clunky for the character and roll isn't excluded from this. Short range, slow, and for big bosses it definitely doesn't roll you out of range of their massive attack(as a melee char).

I sincerely hope they hear the cries instead of taking the "get gud" stance. This game could be wonderful but right now it's just a ball of frustration. Even when you do put in the effort and fight a boss 25+ time it doesn't feel rewarding. Oh look, a currency item, 3 magic items, and 2 rares that are for any class but mine. And that's one of the better rewards! The sand king boss literally gave nothing. Back in town you get an uncut skill gem. Yay, another disappointing skill(leap slam in this case) that doesn't seem to bump my power level at all.

And what about items? I have been constantly blowing my currency just to try to stay viable in zones 1 level below me. Gambling? Nope, doesn't matter if you save your money. I finally tried gambling and I could do it twice. 20 levels of advancement and I get 2 gambles?

Why is every aspect of this game made to be hard, aggravating, or just require the player to go back to some old area to grind a bunch? Who playtested this for the last year and was like "yeah, folks will love this!"

GGG, please fix this or at least keep working on PoE1 so I have something to enjoy.
I play Sorceress, and I'm having a hard time. I think it's a bit too difficult. I get stock in packs of mobs, and I die. I died 25 times to act 1 wolf boss, and had to respec between light and ice a few times, I ended up with no more gold to respec, I did not have good support gems for both light and ice, so my light build was strong, but bad against that boss, ice did low damage because of no support gems for that build.

Now I'm stock at Rathbreaker act 2. I die due to the Hyenas, there are way to many and I get stock, I cant do enough damage or stand still for just 1 sec without dying.

I like the game is hard, and you can'y just fly through, but I see other classes just blast through the game. I'm on a point where I don't want to play my class anymore.
+1 to OP. I've played POE1 since when Vaal Oversoul was hard as hell, but this... I just don't feel the progress, the game is not fun at all. Regular monsters are spongy, killing boss feels like hard boring work, oneshots out of the blue makes me raging. It is not the descendant of POE1 I love, it is just some kind of creepy offspring of the Diablo and Souls.
PS. Rolling - sucks! I'm just not feeling myself as mighty warrior anymore, I'm a freaking racoon on the kitchen when light turns on :(

you literally do not have to be zizaran to enjoy it. you just have to go kill some monsters to grind some levels and gear. it's not that hard.

Hundreds of people are telling you that it is. The monsters are too hard, and critically, too boring to kill.
Is it too early for

PoE2Bad?

Asking for a friend.

While I am one of the "complainers" I need to indicate that in early game at least it's not dodge or die for me [invested too much into defense??].

For me it's Avoid damage OR get chunked. The gotcha is that I get chunked more than I chunk the boss as I WILL absolutely get smacked even though I'm trying to avoid damage.

Does that make me bad at this game ... sure. Does this make PoE2 a bad game in isolation -- probably not.

You can't "chunk" a boss, there isn't enough damage. At best you can tickle a boss
The game is not fun if I wanted to play Dark Souls I would have Fucking played Dark Souls. I wanted to play a uptodate POE. This is Why we play POE. Glad this did not cost me any money.
Not hard, simply just tedious; in most of the worst ways possible.
Gave this a chance to prove me wrong, but I expected this nonesence since years.
Played it a few hours and felt the exact same what I felt on my PoE 1 ruthless lvl90 Ranger: boredom.
All-time non-streamer luckless dropless rewardless tons-of-time-playing non-TFT-er 100% solo player.
So, it just turns out, we were lied to for years with the promises of a two-storied one PoE 4.0.
All these worse and worse beta leagues, all these braindead changes, all lead to this.
agree on the hardness.. died 3 hours worth on the Mad Wolf (lvl what, 15?). Gear should be good (summoner witch lvl 18). I love mechanics and challenges but this fight is just out there. As it seems some people have an easy(ier) time of it, it could be a class and/or skill/passive choice. The thing ive come across is once you get the skill gems the game "gives" you - getting more seems to be a test on its own. More time needed, just feels ramped up too quick for standard Act 1 boss.
