I'm sick of zoom meta. (Speed creep created bad combat and game balance)
GGG - now that you are observing player feedback for PoE2, please stay true to what Jonathan said at exilecon... SPEED CREEP is a problem!

The clear speed in this game has mostly removed combat. Instakilling a bunch of shit is not combat. Combat is where you fight a monster, and both you and the monster are doing stuff. That barely exists in PoE at this point. It exists only for those who don't play meta builds.

" Although I agree, friends and I have experimented with a lot of the new skills in different forms. All builds converge to killing as much things as effortlessly as possible, unfortunately. It has been this way for years and years and years.. the game just did not have as many ways to do it back then. But seeing your axiom supporter pack, I'm sure you know as much. " Very well said. It's insane to me how a lot of people still try to call it good gameplay when even Jonathan himself said the combat of PoE1 is bad. "Good luck on your naps Exile"
|
|
" Unfortunately, even GGG promotes that with their "as fast as you can" challenges and "the first to do X" every league. |

i resent that POE1 and POE2 are separate but i m not blind to see the benefits.
i hope that POE2 is not a zoom zoom fest. leave that to POE 1. [Removed by Support]

Not one slow ARPG has worked out in the long run. Maybe PoE 2 will change that but only time will tell. Speed is the easiest indicator for build power that is perceptible to the player. Whether it be time to complete a task or how long you stay in the fight. It's a fundamental problem that does not translate well to slower ARPGs.

nerfs without alternatives are stupid.

Way more people want to blast and zoom than people who want a slow arpg, there are plenty of slow games to play if thats what you want, sorry

" yeah, and PoE2 is one of them thankfully Most of poes current problems are due to the speed creep, and GGG has acknowledged that. they also acknowledged that the zoom players will never like a higher combat ARPG, so they needed to make 2 games.
