32:9 ultra wide support gone!

Odyssey Neo G9 ... I was showing off how excellent poe works with this monitor and now it is gone...it looks horrible on the screen now.

We are used to things behaving strange at this wide range but we love the overall immersion so please bring this feature back!

....now!
This feels pretty thrash. Have been using 3440x1440 for years now and has never been a problem i don't think i have ever heard someone complain about advantages etc so it makes no sense to me.

Previously it was possible to manually set the aspect ratio of the Path of Exile client to be very short and wide, allowing you to see an unintended amount of the level at once. A limit needed to be set. Because of server serialisation distances, this maximum aspect ratio is currently set to 21:9. This is the widest that we can currently go before we start hitting the cutoff where entities and effects vanish. We are looking at being able to increase this in the future.

This note was accidentally missed from the patch notes. We're very sorry for that oversight.

I'm fine with entities and effects vanishing. Really. If you're trying to help people using ultrawides, you're not.
Artificially removing support for hardware is one of the fastest ways to lose my respect and support. Even though I have a 3440x1440 monitor (that I got specifically to play PoE) this change made me lose most of my excitement for the current and future leagues.
This is probably an issue that should be added to the high priority problems list.
This is something that just needs to be constantly posted on, both here and reddit, and make it an absolute unignorable constant flow of comments until something is done. Keep it going guys!

We just need a streamer to make a video and a reddit post about it. That should do it (probably).
The 352nd character to hit Level 100 in Standard
The 82nd character to hit Delve 1000 in Standard

Have you noticed the vertical black side bars ?
On my own, I have this issue with my 21:9 3440x1440 screen...
Lost support for my 32 by 9 that I bought with POE in mind. POE was also the first game I loaded up on it. And that was the first league I was really excited to play.

Fucking bullshit. Now I get big ass black bars on each side of my screen, and it wont even go into 21 by 9.

who the fuck thought it would be a good idea to remove compatibility for wider screened monitors in a top down game that has supported it for apparently years????

There isn't even really a competitive PVP scene for this game???? So who benefits from the removal of this feature???? literally nobody.

People have a choice to buy the hardware they want so that they can use it. If you REMOVE that support without any reason or just cause, you lose respect, support, and money from the players that it impacts. which for POE, seems like a pretty damn large portion of the player base.

F*** that. I'm out. I will not play anymore until the game is fixed.
Nice way to ruin your game (now unplayable to me)
