The Self Found League

+10 for this idea. I despise the crafting in this game. Every time I hit that gear wall (cap resists, etc), I want to stop playing PoE. If the crafting system was actually viable with more currency drops, this game would be awesome.

In nemesis I crafted some while leveling and it was great. I would love to be able to do that when leveling without fear of misusing currency.

SFR missing is the only thing, why I still did not invest in this game.

The drop rates/crafting are set up with trading in mind so it is not possible to play self-found and not be at huge disadvantage.

I love this idea. I'm currently playing self-found (except for one gem I traded for) and am starting to get a little bit behind (I'm in cruel act 3 ebony barracks and haven't found any gear I can use since beginning act 3 normal). Still doable but I have been oneshotted a few times already.

I'm playing self-found because I simply prefer it that way. Having a league that allows that would give us players the option to do so "properly". People that like trading are not really at disadvantage because they'll still have leagues where trading is possible, so I don't really see a reason (other then some effort) to not do this. I'd like to see this happen :)

Like my idea in the other thread:

Do a Self Found League
Increase currency drops by a huge amount
Let players try to craft the things they need

Upsides:
No cheating
No inflation of neither currancy nor items
Every drop is exiting
GGG can sell more stash tabs because players will be reluctant to sell stuff they might need for another character

Downsides:
Less interaction between players

On the other hand, poeple will love to party just to show of their 6L lioneyes, which will be FAR more difficult to obtain.

Does any1 know if a mod has ever commented on this? It seems like a no-brainer for me. Can´t think of a solid reason NOT to do this.
