So far shaping up to be a sharper drop-off than 3.15 which is crazy. I hope they learn to stop nerfing things soon. The tree changes were a nerf for almost everyone. The gem and mana and flask nerfs feel awful the game itself is in such a horrible place right now. I stopped playing after 3 days and have been having a lot more fun with last epoch and Grim dawn.

Looks like they moved on and dropped this goodbye patch. 3 weeks in, thats usually the time where major leage mechanic things wrap up and maintenance/hotfix mode begins.

No changes to the RNG Oven.
So items like -2 skills gems on Cold Iron Point or deal no cold damage on Cospri's will still be produced for funny clown moments.

Scourge Maps may be another story if juiced to T10, but seeing the outcomes on the negative affixes and rewards i doubt many people use Blood Crucible to create the maps themself and just buying of the market.

So its indeed worth the time if not interacting with one of the core parts of the leage mechanic at all and having means to generate currency in different ways to fund them.


At least they fixed the Elemental Overload (tooltip still not?) issue with traps, mines and totems after 3 weeks. So anyone enjoying these playstyles from the left side of the tree can now join in i guess without having headaches.

They were always going to write off the krangle system IMO its far too much work to fix to a relevant degree, they should have considered just making it stronger though without actually any balance implications if they already decided to not send scourge core (which they shouldn't it adds nothing)

I'm going to harp on like a broken record, but this systems seems like it would've worked well with pre-nerf harvest. You finish your item to your specifications, then you toss it into the crucible for potentially the last finalized touch as it gets corrupted and can no longer be changed. In many ways, this is incursion double corrupt-lite but you don't necessarily lose the item, you just have the possibility of picking up bad to completely-negate-your-build modifiers.

Terrible odds aside, I'm sure people would be more willing to throw things in there if they had some feasible way of crafting the gear back that they put inside, in the case it bricks.
Well seems like they are having the same performance as 3.15 patch. We don't know yet the financial numbers but criss said that they lost money and the game can't have 3.15 results to be sustainable so I can see some drastic changes next league.

Funny thing white knights will keep saying the game is perfect. Perfect now, perfect on 3.15 and perfect on 3.17. Holy paladins
I generally liked the league concept - you can never go wrong with another Breach, but there are lingering problems that made me quit after opening weekend. (bloat-why on earth did they add shitty expedition, no harvest tier 4s, etc) I used to think no biggie, one quits and two join was the pattern for years but maybe it's reached a threshold where that's not happening. The steam chart over a year is ominous as it goes down and down since Ritual League.


It's too early to say anything about this. Could be people going back to work now that we are learning to live with Covid. Could be game is starting it's end of life. Time will tell.

I played casually off and on over the years and was really enjoying this league at the very start for the new passive tree, but the game's performance really feels to have taken a hit with 3.16 where everyone I know who plays is having really bad lag and stuttering, which compounds issues like the random one shots, poor build/skill gem variety, and then the new core league mechanic of scourging items just doesn't feel good.

I was really excited to get back into the game hardcore but those issues are pushing friends and others away and it's just getting frustrating.

They need to rotate old mechanics and remove/update pass them to stay relevant in the current day.
An example comes to mind, Beyond monsters. Aka red bandits. Needs visual & functional update and rewards as well.

But anyways, i personally think they need to cull some older leagues mechanics and merge their functionality into newer ones, that either already exist or may come in the next leagues, to reduce the blaot and prevent 3-4 mechanics stacking in one screen.

PoE now this weekend around 55k. Could stabilize around 40k over the next month, maybe gets a 2-3 week upwards swing if triple G releases some short events (Scourge would be parent league) in collaboration with 3D parties / streamers or purely by themself.

So basically this topic is 14 pages complaining about they took away some player power in 3.15? Is any of you ever growing up or at least trying to? Listen to yourselves chanting 'I regret every dollar I paid to GGG', 'They ruined the game because I do 15% less damage', really re-read your own posts as a neutral and try to guess how old the writer is.

I do agree this mechanic goes against a lot they said last league, which I still don't understand, together with too many perfomance issues this could make a case for me to complain, but I personally feel the game as a whole has never been in a better state. Then again my goal of a league is not to kill all endgame bosses, that's just the most boring thing for me, so I can afford to play builds outside the top 5 poeninja copy pastas.
