Well who would have thought this skill would become meta? I guess I managed to actually start with a high potential skill this time around. I only play one build per league usually so I'm not going to change because the build became good copy pasta for others a few days into the league ...

in my opinion Ritual / 3.13 was the absolute peak of path of exile, I don't think I ever saw the community more happy and I played since 2.0.. ah well they don't seem to learn their lesson I guess

It was ultimately good for everybody. The hardcore had uber-deep delve and t19 100% delirium maps. Everybody could harvest-craft their gear up, and with the upper levels of good gear being maven elevated/awakened gear, more people could get cheap gear from trade if they chose to.

It's a shame they made a bad business decision and forged ahead ignoring all the negative feedback from the harvest manifesto.

And that's sadly due to their financing model;
massive lootplosions, 99,9% trash, farm more and faster, hoard stuff to sell, to buy upgrades, to make more currency, which is easier the more stash tabs you got. It's like 70% of their whole revenue, stash tabs sold.

But such a overhaul would basically require a $20 monthly sub fee since extra stash tabs would be almost useless and selling them pointless.

20 bucks monthly from every player would be a fucking lot of constant income. Are we assuming they are currently making that kind of money from stash tabs sales? I doubt it but even if they do, it cannot last because old players at some point have enough tabs and don`t buy any more. And they are seemingly working to alienate the new casuals with all these shitty nerfs to everything... This does not sound sustainable to me. So I think GGG must have a devoted base of adepts who religiously buy supporter packs or they are banking on cycling players, luring new ones with hype after disillusioned players, who learned the hard way what this game is really about, finally leave.

20bucks a month seems a bit steep, but I would gladly pay 10bucks monthly if game delivered fun instead of frustration :)

I do agree this mechanic goes against a lot they said last league, which I still don't understand, together with too many perfomance issues this could make a case for me to complain, but I personally feel the game as a whole has never been in a better state. Lol, majority of builds, speciallys no meta builds, are nerfed in 100%~200% less damage !!!!.

Ignite builds fucking died, melee ignite builds also died with the changes to warcry and support gems, archmage died, unique focused builds died, defense got gutted for everyone, so whats left? just the most op meta builds, which can now invest into defense, which are still feeling bad because it doesnt matter how much u now spend into defense, it doesnt matter. So many builds, which had to spend already his whole tree for dmg are not playable. They constantly killing builds since 2.0 and its super annoying. They just did the same to totems, what they did in the past to mirror/blink arrow, killing a build like dp, rf and reflect totems.
And they never bothering to bring them back with reasonable power. U just have to accept it as collateral.
They still embracing clearspeed op zoom zoom glasscannons builds, the few defense options we had like memory vault is now gone aswell. No chance for casual or bad players to tackle endgame now. I mean they just moved some notes around to nerf the nightmare jewels, seperated defense notes from offense notes, forcing us to spend points on masteries, giving us "the option invest into defense", which now even feels like shit with 50k armor 75/75 block and 8k es, when ya dmg isnt in the millions. Putting fucking proximity shields on everything, so u just get blown up no matter what u playing, except for those super meta dot builds currently.

Since i like playing immortal tanks, they basically killed all the fun i had with poe. I have no idea why ggg got a problem with defense, but dont bother nerfing top meta builds. Cuz it isnt already punishing enough playing a slow low dps char, but shit like inpuklsa blowing up 2-3 screens while zomming at hyperspeed while pressing zero buttons, cuz herald bomber is okay and healthy for the game? i see. They saying a and doing b.
