Mapping in 3.14 is bonked
The map sustain is pretty tough but it's kind of fair. The issue is that scarabs are way harder to afford, I progress significantly slower in my atlas but the returns from progressing in there seem exponential, made a chunk of exalts today and I'm only awakener 7 and haven't set nothing in particular. The game has changed a lot since 3.13 but it looks kind of fair game at the end of the day, the meta is different but you can achieve similar power level as in 3.13 with the same amount of work but different methods(especially crafting wich has become way more intricate with way more upfront investing and some rng at the end of the craft)
this was yolo harvest rolled + 2 annul, still needs lots of fertile catalysts and a hunter orb to be complete and it's not a big gg item this was essence crafted with a lucky annul, I plan to meta craft that twice with essences then probably add a veiled mod or two for good measure, ideal res + chaos res or even maybe a focus stuff, gotta check the pool. The fact that I'm already aiming for relatively big crafts while not even having reached the sweet gameplay spot tells a lot about the possibilities available. Being able to metacraft essences and at the same time having access to all those veiled mods on steroid(trough rng) opens a lot of pathes to great items, and I'm only scratching the surface, you can go with synthesis bases, fractured incursion or delve stuffs as well. At the end of the day ggg did not gave back the feeling of "exalting items" :D. Last edited by galuf#4435 on May 1, 2021, 1:33:20 AM

" Just dont pay them. They say the majority of payments are either from new players or whales though, but either way, vote with you dollars. |

" Yeah, I guess I'll hold off on buying a supporter pack. Although, I'm a sucker for MTX. Oh, look...shiny! You would think that GGG would try to make league more fun after that disastrous launch. Ah well, as XXXX said in the movie Layer Cake: "I mean, it's like selling anything: washing machines, handmade shoes, blow jobs. As long as you don't take the piss, people will always come back for more." Hmm, GGG is based in New Zealand so they will understand when I say, "Stop taking the piss, mate." Taking the piss is a Commonwealth informal term meaning to mock at the expense of others, or to be joking, without the element of offence. It is a shortening of the idiom taking the piss out of, which is an expression meaning to mock, tease, joke, ridicule, or scoff. 8 mod maps are the new alch and go. Every single league the same "complaint" by the people that have ~20 atlas completion. Surprising. Here I am with 159/164, 159/164 and bosses are dropping 3-4 maps pretty often. Remnants of the past is also extremely helpful. Selling maps daily and oversustaining with ease.
I've heard greater rift keys are guaranteed drops. You might want to look into that. |

" Interesting... Hey just keep in mind over 200 ppl are already lvl 100 in SSF leagues and you don't get that without at least 1500 T16s ran. And get this the HC guys cant even run really juiced up maps or they wont be HC for long lol. ...it's not called grinding gear games for nothing you know. Git R Dun!

" No one is complaining about map sustain at 159/164. Everyone oversustains at 159/164. People are complaining about map sustain from white to yellow to red maps. Modest goals. I think most casuals never get to 159/164. Of course, every single league there will some people saying, "Map sustain is fine at 159/164. What is the problem? Just get to 159/164. Don't you have a headhunter yet? I have three." Surprising. 8 mod maps are the new alch and go.

" I wonder how I got to 159/164. Or how thousands of others got there. Certainly not by complaining on the forums, while barely understanding the game. As surprising as it may sound - it is pretty easy for years already. Sustaining T2 just sounds pathetic - you are not supposed to sustain dogshit tiers of maps. You blast to the boss, get the completion and go to endgame. Hard to understand, I get it. Greater rift keys are still guaranteed drops. |

" So what percentage of players do you think get to 159/164? Where did you get sustaining T2 from? Again, I said people are complaining about white to yellow to red map progression. Reading comprehension is tough, I get it. Putting words into other people's mouths is easy, I get it. Anyway, thanks for supporting casuals with your money if not your words. 8 mod maps are the new alch and go. Last edited by zakalwe55#2432 on May 1, 2021, 5:43:00 AM

" You are living in a serious bubble mate. Thousands of people with 159/164? From the 144 000 that started maybe 500 of them get there and that's already too much. People who finish atlas every league are 0.1% of the 1% that actually get to the red maps. This game has a serious problem with player retention after a single week. It's designed this way, to sustain the economical model they designed. Last edited by Sixtysan#6617 on May 1, 2021, 7:26:48 AM
