Mapping in 3.14 is bonked
I keep hearing about map sustain issues, but I'm not seeing it in game. I'm only in yellow maps right now so maybe things will get challenging later, but right now I'm kinda drowning in maps. I even have a big pile of blighted and delirium maps I've been saving up for later....
I haven't really done much side content either, just some Delve and one Vaal Temple. I do alc every map and run unidentified maps because my build isn't vulnerable to reflect. |

Lost Maps is probably quicker than buying from Kirac.

on the other hand zana sells maps erry day now.
used to take like a week to reset. it's not going to compensate very well but better than nothing ;) Last edited by teksuoPOE#2987 on Apr 27, 2021, 6:10:33 PM

For anyone doing the "Leapfrog" atlas strategy and having issues with map drops:
Stop doing the LeapFrog strat. |

Ritual League: Highest player count AND RETENTION!
GGG: Let's shoot ourselves in the foot by making sure we lose players by making a TON of unwanted changes, while simultaneously SPEND large sums of money on streamers to gain a couple of new players. Everything was fine. The numbers are terrible this league. I've seen game companies do this time and time again. They shoot themselves. Who will Kill PoE? Diablo 3? NOPE! Torchlight 3! NOPE! Grim Dawn! NOPE! PoE will kill PoE. AND IT has BEGUN! |

" WRONG on the last part in caps. ![]() https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/mngcil/player_retention_graphs_for_the_last_4_leagues_on/ Ritual was average with a below average tail end despite having the annual big content update (Atlas Ascendancies). The tail end where all the Harvest fans allege that that's when all this so called 'retention' happens. The fact is you aren't representative of anyone but yourself. The things you like don't magically make new players appear. The things you dislike don't drive players away. That' goes for everyone making these claims about Harvest, the state of 'end game' in Ritual, texture streaming, map sustain, buffs, nerfs, bad launches, broken promises, abdication of principles, too hardcore, too casual, etc etc. |

I've been doing what I normally do since Heist and map sustain this league is appalling. I'm level 87 and I had to buy yellow maps to progress.
I'm not sure why GGG made atlas progression even more tedious but it is off-putting. 8 mod maps are the new alch and go.

" I agree. I dont understand this elitist mentality that GGG has when it comes to anything in this game. Want a build defining item? Grind a dozen hours a day, every day, MAYBE youll eventually get it. Forget about deterministic crafting, we've squashed any semblance of that with the Harvest nerfs. Want to progress through endgame (not beat, just move through it organically?) Grind your eyes out until they bleed hoping for a map drop or a zana mission AND THEN both of those are RNG to be what you actually need! If not, rinse repeat. Literally stall your endgame progression for hours or days until you get what you need. I'll never understand it. I like difficulty. But I cant sit here for days before progressing simply because endgame itself sits behind RNG. Getting tired of POE. |

" You are bending statistics to make a false point. Facts: Ritual had more players at 17 days than all previous leagues did at FOUR #&$$^^&*$ days, including ones you did not show. verdict: Liar liar, pants on fire. |

" The lack of map sustain is taking away the ability to grind. So GGG is removing the treadmill too. GGG, please throw me a bone. 8 mod maps are the new alch and go. Last edited by zakalwe55#2432 on May 1, 2021, 1:11:00 AM
