No? White/yellow maps are extremely cheap. Just buy them from Zana and you'll never run out.

u realize that doesn't counter my point, right? U can buy 50 maps from Zana and still end up getting nothing out of them with bad luck. Is it likely? No, but it's more likely if u buy 10-20 maps. Zana mostly sells only 2-3 higher maps and the rest is around T1-3, so if u're at T6+ u're not getting that many shots at that map range.

Just because u didn't have such a streak yet, doesn't mean it doesn't happen to alot of ppl every league, bcz its still rng.

I'm not one of them, so don't try to tell me how to build the atlas ect, just realize that it's a reality for many ppl every league.

I don't get it. I haven't had a single league so far where I couldn't get to tier 16 (except for the ones I stopped playing early like Blight). You are telling me after so many leagues with 0 issues, after climbing to tier 16 in this league without trading and by only using alch and chisels that there are sooooo many people who can't get to yellow maps even though they are trying?

What a joke, just say you want access to every map at every tier you want and be done with it.

Leap frog is not advertised as a way to sustain maps - just to proc conquerors as fast as possible. In fact, it leaves you dangerously unable to sustain maps the better you are at executing leap frog.

This is one of a bunch of reasons in the list of why community veterans who understand systems and don't personally have problems go into immediate skepticism mode when these threads pop up every league.

When someone doesn't understand something, they should ask for help. 'What am I missing here?', not accuse everything of being broken or bugged or maliciously stealth nerfed.
As an endgame, somewhat veteran player, I am also seeing noticeably terrible map progression and sustain. My daily playing buddy of equal caliber sees the same. We’ll get there eventually though, right?
I did something very simple - before awakened level 6 I always kept a single map region with 3 stones just so I could have a supply of tier 12-13 maps when the 14+ ones start running low. Also, I targeted certain regions for 10-boss fights and stones so I could get to awakened levels 6 and 7 quicker. Once I got there - it is the same as before. You can't run out of tier 14-16 maps.
Just finished my 5th moderately juiced (sextants, chisel, alch) T16 map without a single map drop. Two quadrants with 4 stones set, and the other 12 spread evenly among the remaining 6 areas.

I'm ready to scream. One or two, sure. But 5 in a row? That's not progression, that's just setting progress on fire. But boy, I sure get a nice steady flow of T12 maps (3 last time) while running a tier 16. Not helpful, and not amused. I can run the content, if only the casino would pay out a map.
Just use a harbinger orb to make them tier 13s. It'd be very likely for the tier 13s to drop a bunch of tier 14s.

Ritual League: Highest player count AND RETENTION!

WRONG on the last part in caps.

https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/mngcil/player_retention_graphs_for_the_last_4_leagues_on/

Ritual was average with a below average tail end despite having the annual big content update (Atlas Ascendancies). The tail end where all the Harvest fans allege that that's when all this so called 'retention' happens.

The fact is you aren't representative of anyone but yourself. The things you like don't magically make new players appear. The things you dislike don't drive players away. That' goes for everyone making these claims about Harvest, the state of 'end game' in Ritual, texture streaming, map sustain, buffs, nerfs, bad launches, broken promises, abdication of principles, too hardcore, too casual, etc etc.

Actually I believe you are wrong.

3.13 was extremely popular until the harvest manifesto. That turned a lot of players off, my friend list went from everyone being online, almost all the time, to a ghost town. I myself also quite the league at that point, despite having a lot of fun.

This league is terrible, mapping g is such a chore due to them being so rare.

Can agree.
Many of friends struggling on whites and yellows and red maps are like non existant to them. I couldnt blame em, they came here to play game, for entertainment.

Not to keep in mind that like scarab+mission+check influence+manage stones+sextant+chisel+allch(bound)+reroll im mods you cannot go+map 3to1 recipe, ask friends to go in party for better map drops, and only then go.

This is not about entertainment at all at this level of detail need to sustain maps for good.

If they're casual enough to 'struggle to sustain' white and yellow maps 14 days into a league, why aren't they entertained with slowly filling out their white and yellow map completion on the way to 100 atlas completion?

I don't like trading for maps (I think I bought 2 this league) and got to 130 completion with 0 trouble. Sometimes that meant playing 7 tier 7 maps I've already completed to get a couple more T8s. It meant doing every Zana mission. It meant pulling maps from Alva temple, Heist, and Delve. (One temple gave 1 red map, another gave 7 - neither had the map room).

And before red maps when I wasn't using chisels and sextants, I stockpiled about 500 chisels and 70/30/15 sextants + some scarabs including a winged cartography scarab that were ready to jam on my red map push.

When did we lose sight of the idea that sometimes you might have to grind content in order to get to the destination you're looking for? More and more people seem to actually or act like they hate the journey. 'I want to be at the destination and if I can't get there with no friction, something is broken, bugged, or the devs are out of touch for disagreeing!'. Nonsense. It's exactly like Shags just said. The game doesn't exist to give you what you want, it exists to open multiple pathways to places you want to go, leaving you to navigate the pitfalls and obstacles along the way.

They'd be left with very few players indeed if you created a fully decked-out character that started at level 100 and could choose the T18 layout of your choice with all the league adds you wanted sprinkled on top infinitely. It's about the journey.

Just because you enjoy the game feeling like work, doesn't mean other people do. Games are supposed to entertain you, I honestly feel like this league is an unpaid job.
