Raise Spectre Gem did NOT deserve your shortsightedness

Nightstone13,

Just curious, which part of the game is pay to win, which you keep blabbing about so much?

The part you and most others are missing is they raised the difficulty exponentially. You can see this from the trailers. Its getting much harder.

Game getting harder... specs much weaker... its a three way hit. less dps. less health. harder content.

GGG made sure only top tier players would get there. Pay to win or serious time investment to get gear. possibly a fourth hit on nerfed specs.

NS

No I didnt miss that. How could I?
Im looking forward to a good challenge and hope its going to be really hard.

I still dont see how this is affecting casual players other than that they are lacking the knowledge to overcome the nerfs. Its not impossible by any stretch of the imagination.

The health reduction will nullified by a simple 2link setup and one jewel, which ofc means something else needs to be sacrificed plus maybe bone offering over flesh offering. But thats not a big deal.
And as far as dmg is concerned its just about 20-25% less dmg. Thats not hard to overcome too - if you know how.

Evidently you dont as well as many others too. Doesnt mean that you are right tho ;)
Calm down, relax, chill and wait for guides. Until then just play whatever you like and lvl some gems you might need for a spectre setup.
Once the new spectre meta is established, follow the guides.

LMAO, 11 pages of whine.

Hollywood should do a movie just alone for this thread.

If youre unhappy with this game, switch the game or code your own game.
Its not like you guys are paying GGG.

Well, at least you are being economic in your uselessness.

Its same every league, noobs whining about nerfs while having no clue what the purpose of the nerf is.

I know Blizzard gave all the whiners what they wanted ending up their game died very fast.
Noone plays D3 and WoW had similar problems.

A game that offers no challenge is a dead game.

If you nerf basketball rules so everyone can play in same league with people like LBJ then people will loose their interest very fast.

Yes, I reckon that. Actually what I was saying (and have said it somewhere before also, I think) was concerning the so called 'metashift' or 'meta-shake' as they call it. Talking about balance issues acts a sort of smoke-screen for the fact that GGG most probably even cannot balance things out in their game. This absolutely kills the sandbox feel in PoE.

See my previous post before the one where I quoted you.

Summoners and minions still completely busted and overpowered...

All this while nerfing others things. GGG and game design for you
Affliction and Necropolis worst leagues ever. The current game design has slowly turned this game into a loot-shower fest, chase uniques are way too available; and obtaining chase items through stacked decks simply isn't fun. Rework stacked decks needed.

What makes me most sad is that we are having a pandemic, ok NZ doesnt but the rest of the world does and you would think a company like GGG would take this into account before destroying one of the most played classes.

I have a friend he is stuck at home due high risk and he can only play summoners, he was so looking forward to this league to get something else than Covid nightmares.

In my opinion GGG has done a really poor job here, its not the first time that for some reason the company lacks sympathy.

I believe Chris is a great guy, but for some reason he doesnt see the wrongs happening and what consequences these design choices can have on people out there.

Please GGG, hire a PR guy or girl, someone who looks a bit further than the own doorstep.

Seriously... This game is an escape for me. I am in my late 30's and a lot of builds completely murder my hands and wrists with carpal tunnel. I just wish they would be more considerate about stuff like this.

Damn right, I started out as a slayer jugg in the past, these days boss fights require you to jump through loops like a circus monkey , I switched to minion builds as well and it was such a relive for my wrists.
Unfortunately AS YOU KNOW mentioning that is against the rules here. Doing it is rampant... talking about it in detail gets you a warning.

Soooo... Lets talk about failed baiting attempts by yourself.

Lol...

no other better come backs than this lame @ss attempt?

Doctors recommend now to play Summoners or what are this nonsense arguments about?
This is not a rehab center.
Dude? what game are you playing? Certainly not this one thats for sure.

Any casual can run red maps lol...

Lets see... pick one... choices are. This guy is really thick. this guy rides the short bus. Hmmmmm

To really flesh a char out in this game takes items. Items are gotten through grind or pay to win.

Grind and game currency is what separates casuals from non casuals. unless of course they choose that ever popular pay to win option. Casuals can have tons of skill.

Where it begins to suck for casuals is when your running around in a tabula for a month doing hard content.

Easier to play builds make life easier for casual players. Summoner and totem builds were usually on the top of the list because they used to be less gear dependent.

Specs went from needing almost nothing to operate in the old days to where it is today. Very gear dependent and very costly. League after league GGG has been screwing the casual players over by changing the class to a high gear dependency.

This league specs took a dps hit. A health hit. Spec mobs got nerfed. Content was made alot harder. class is still very gear dependant.

For some odd reason a class taking 4 big hits does seem to resonate in any way shape or form huh. Still sitting here trying to make up lame excuses....

From a casual point of view this is a BIG HIT to play. Any reasonable person with even a smidge of brains can see this.

casual running red maps?

if you are casual - stick to yellow maps and stay there for as long as you need to farm it up/get better at the game

dumbing down 'for casuals' never works. because nothing stops a good player from picking 'casual friendly' build (that is already easier to play than alternatives) and making it stronger than a regular build

pick one:
- you are casual, doing casual stuff, expecting casual rewards
- you are seasoned player and can have higher aspirations and expectations

if neither of these two apply - you are begging for free handouts. so what is it?

youll dodge this question, thats fine. but stop with this push for 'give me free powah because i need it'. ofc you need it, work for it.
