Elementalists play Golems,...Nuff Said. Funny thing is, they may nerf some Block mechanics that will affect both elementalists and occultists too. Necros can't die.

" They've been slowly squeezed out of their roles over time, you can't justify going elementalist and not taking the golems anymore for example which has slight build ramifications (also my favourite ascendancy tbh not complaining about power, just about versatility) and the same for occultist its just kinda outdated in the face of other ascendancies. Occultist was the go to ES/DoT ascendancy for example and I think its completely shifted to trickster who not only gets an absolutely stupid defensive boost but still gets plenty of damage too. mega curses is fun but its awkward to apply 3-4 curses the way we currently play the game which then means you gotta reserve all your mana. Still thinking about league starting as an occultist for Heist, but i'm weird *shrugs* |

I've never been much for minion builds, as it just feels like a running simulator with those kinds of builds. That being said, I was bored and made a necro to run through HC just for the fun of it and that was the easiest run through of acts I've ever had. It required practically nothing and I was never in danger.
Not saying that warrants a nerf, but that was definitely easy mode. | |
" lol noob doesn't even know what makes minion builds strong, or how that relates to totems and to a lesser extent mines i'll give you a hint: if you don't have to stand and cast or facetank, you can massively cut costs in defensives this is why minion builds are so cheap, which appears to be why people are salty tbh everything wrong with poe comes down to how defensives work in this game; particularly the game being balanced around 1 hkos prevented via flask - builds that have body blockers don't have to suffer this mechanic nearly so much Last edited by GoldRidley on Sep 12, 2020, 11:06:24 AM

95% of ED builds are tricksters. About elementalist, oh right, theres ONE BUILD viable with this entire classes and its golems. Then what? Still sucks. Although i do on occasion enjoy playing minion builds where all you do is sit back and watch netflix while your minions do all the work, it's kinda lazy tbh. As the old saying goes....git gud.
