Delirium Statistics
league full of lags and bugs.
Kosis is insanly OP with bad mechanic. You have reduced the size of cities in simulacrum, many builds suffer from this. plz show builds and skills statisticks. I’ve got a bunch of defense and life, but I still get one shots. It depresses and discourages the desire to play. Even HC players do not understand what kills them. It makes no sense to play. Of course, you can take the Maxblock 30k Armour Eva Cycloner or assemble a build for a couple of Mirror, but this is all extreme sides of the point. " Don't forget the quote about making performance so terrible, the colour scheme depressing, and visual clarity the worst in years, because people should be forced to suffer to play the game, and only those who can withstand the worst FPS, crashes and lags should be able to say they can play the game.... But otherwise the best laugh I've had all league and about right for this league. |

Yep the delirium wings are rather ugly, cape sticks out too much. Horns are whatever. The Metamorph challenge rewards were on another level entirely. Also delirium isn't fun to play so that may explain why players aren't touching the challenges.
Edit: forgot to mention that 3.10 broke multithreading/asset loading, and many people are unable to play (freezes and stutters), so that's also a factor to consider in those statistics. Last edited by Zuzanne#5313 on Apr 9, 2020, 7:26:53 PM

I think completion statistics are lower because the actual league mechanic is far more rewarding and players are mostly focused on the Delirium itself instead of challenges at the moment.
I know i certainly am. A quick look at my challenges shows i've got 10-15 challenges 90% done and could push over 10 of them in a matter of 30 minutes if i choose. |

" Ask and ye shall receive. " Not significantly, at least so far. One exception, though: the "Defeat Map Bosses while under Delirium" is significantly more of a pain in the ass than the old "Defeat Map Bosses" challenge because a lot of my slower builds can't make progress on it through normal mapping. " Somewhat. I'm a sucker for green and black science shit, so Metamorph's rewards were right up my alley. Delirium's rewards are... less so, especially since 2 of them can't be used together since they go in the same slot. " Not really. If I'm going for challenges, it's usually because it's an engaging goal to hit - it's about putting together a journey, not necessarily about the destination at the end. The bigger thing affecting my motivation is how rough the league mechanic is, both for my playstyle and in general. I like to pick up loot and play somewhat slower, niche characters, and it feels like this league punishes both of those really hard. If I stop to pick up some stuff in a Delirium, it feels like I'm wasting precious seconds that I could be using to advance deeper in the fog, but if I don't then it feels like I'm either wasting time backtracking for it after Delirium is over, or wasting the loot that dropped in the first place. And that's assuming I can even pick up loot without dying in the first place, since the number of delayed effects that only hit you if you stop moving (to pick up loot) is through the roof in Delirium - it's been said that that's to try to target players who clear quickly, but that doesn't make sense to me, since those players aren't the types to ever stop to be hit by these effects in the first place. And that's assuming I don't just die outright because activating Delirium will occasionally tank my framerate for some reason. Turning off the audio in the config helped some, but the performance is still just really rough. I've thought about maybe upgrading my old potato of a computer, but from the sound of things, there are players with much beefier, modern systems having the exact same problems, and there's a bit of a pandemic out, so maybe I'll shelve that thought for now. |

I loved metamorph challenges because they felt actually achievable because there was waayyy less RNG involved. It's quite easy to have a bad streak of RNG and it just ends up feeling really really bad. Especially things like Vaaling for which some of them take quite a lot of grinding and usually fail. Some RNG isn't bad, but having, for example, both the chance orb and vaal orb challenges in the same league is a bit much

I think for me the rewards for the challenges are not IMO worth grinding for.

Yeah, I usually only complete challenges up the portal rewards and don't bother doing more.

" Maybe?, yes & yes. Metamorph emphasised bs one shots, but the fights were interesting. This league feels like it's just "more mobs, run faster" (i.e. boring) but still has additional sources of bs one shots. I liked blight, I liked (after-one-month-of-fixing) synthesis... I think lately I just prefer the full new gameplay mechanic leagues. Side note - I was never enthusiastic for this league... "so there's a fog, and it's got more mobs in it, and that's it?" and that's how it's played out for me, but with yet more (poorly telegraphed/explained) one shots. I've also struggled to find a build that I enjoy which feels both strong & attainable/affordable. I'm not really a fan of unique-required builds & there seems to be an emphasis on them for the last couple of leagues. Bleed glad was good, but then you nerfed the crap out of its attainability & I was already a bit iffy on playing the same build twice. Last edited by Lakh#0167 on Apr 9, 2020, 8:00:05 PM
