I would describe lab as more grudgingly tolerate and would celebrate it's demise. Trade too for that matter.

Some players love lab. Lab is what kept me playing as long as I did. I look forward to my lab runs on every character I do and sometimes I spend entire swathes of a league just lab running.

You're entitled to your opinion. IMO, Lab is great. Once I have my ascendancies, I take my time and look for dark shrines and treasure chests there. Only gets you so far, true, but it's fun for me.

And as an SSF player there's a lot to find in the lab that can then be useful for more mapping. Of course, betting on that one helmet enchant is probably futile, but there's lots of quality gems there, currency, uniques.

That's the issue here though. Lab sucks, and I HAVE TO DO IT. You can not like tower defense and never once click on the device that starts the encounter. If you can't see the difference, I guess we should stop talking.

i really dont understand why the devs are so fucking obsessed with creating artificial loot scarcity, and this is not the first league with this shit, synthesis had this shit too, along with horrible map sustain. this league map sustain is basically copying legion formula, so its decent, maybe nerfed a tiny bit. but loot, this is something else. its heavily connected to league mechanic and even if you are doing it you are not profiting much. i've ran like 20 low-red maps few days ago before i stopped playing, ignoring league mechanic, and i noticed that i've even spent more than gained. ridiculus.

so i dont understand the point of this scarcity. people dont get loot = people stop playing, like me. nobody wants to do unrewarding grind, and actually there are lot of grindy games that are actually rewarding or having guaranteed rewards: warframe, borederlands 3, hell even d3. so here we are, at 25k players online (including standard).

amazing that devs didnt suggest anything for players that may not like league's tower defense mechanic.

and, again, creating metas (to sell mtxs like celestial zombies) is dangerous policy cuz ppl will try new or reworked archetypes and will leave, thats not the audience you should create and sustain the game for. devs must invest more into build-constructing instruments. i hate reading the word "archetype".

It needs to be said more - this is not good tower defense.

This is very basic of tower defense genre and even that is not well done.

I could talk and talk about it. But lets say one example - bosses.

Great Bosses in TD games go alone and they have some different mechanics - specific ways to be defeated.You can focus on them and enjoy them as you see behemoth that is many times bigger than other mobs and when you bring it down, its a great feeling.

Here : mob that is 50%bigger than other mobs, lost in hundreds of other mobs. Dies without even knowing it was a boss, just some league achievement pops out.

An aspect of TD completely missunderstood, as almost 99% of other spects that make great TD like pausing waves, rushing waves, being rewarded for faster/more dangerous clear.

Why would we play very basic and inferior version of everything that is on market, because of the bad drops? And why that defense in blighted maps has to be 5 minutes? Why cant it be 30 minutes or an hour. You just have to balance it with loot! Thats it...

GGG doesnt get it.
