Also fusing are 1:1 with alchemy even though that's not what they cost at the vendor so this whole argument is kinda moot if you ask me.

lol not much to debate here. fusings are really worth more than chaos if ppl did the math since at end game they are the most used item period meaning ppl are trading for them in the thousands, yes thousands just to get their one single 6L item. all you have to do is say in trade chat "selling fusings" and you will get 15+ tells within moments.. don't believe me? try it yourself...
So the poeple selling the 2 fusings for 1 chaos get rippedoff too? What has this economy of bartering come to.

The argument's not moot. Selling an item for cheaper than a vendor because of its value is not a ripoff, selling an item for more than a vendor is. If I can walk over to a vendor and trade however many fusings up to alchemy, or trade just one fusing to a player for an alchemy, but I have to find a player first, it then becomes cost vs convenience. If a player is charging more than a vendor, I could go to the vendor and get what I want immediately, or I could search for a player and pay even more in the end. You seem to have confused the two.

Poeex may be a problem and that's a whole other story, but supply and demand forced exalts to change to 5 gcp/15 chaos and now they are being forced up to 16/17 chaos because the supply is too low for demand. Supply and demand will eventually win.
That doesn't affect the issue at hand however: 99.9% of people will agree fusing 2:1 chaos even if they don't use poeex. Because of this, due to vendor rates, alts cannot go over 16:1 chaos or it's a ripoff. If fusing:chaos rates changed, then the 20:1 ratio may be fair.

wish ppl would buy my alts, i have hundreds lol, just too damn lazy to do any trades whatsoever... ill spend a full day in a pug docks run and do nothing but loot scrolls of wisdom, then ill go solo and ID every blue item i see and make tons of alts lol, much faster to get 16 alts than 1 chaos...
and all this while watching tv and not even looking at the screen cept to loot :P

Have you ever tried trading alchs for fusings? It doesn't work too well.

Well offer 2 fusing:1 chaos, you'll likely get more people to trade you than you will offering the 16 alts and it ends up being the same either way.

When i go to the restaurant and i order a bottle of water they charge me 5$
Im not screaming at them because wtf a bottle of water should be only 1$ or less because you can get it at supermarket for that price..
They do the work.. they serve me...I pay for that..
same goes this... if you want to spend 30 min trading to earn 4 alterions go for it... I just do the quick trade because im laze and i want someone else to do the work for me and i pay a bit for that
