Chaos to alt ratio ripoff

Or someone you're trading with for "ITEMS" doesn't want the currency you have, so you need to first exchange your currency.
If someone doesn't want your currency, it's unlikely you'll be able to exchange it before they trade their item to someone else.

Sometimes you have too much of the lower currencies and want to get rid of your change, like turning 20 $1 bill's into a 20$ bill.
This falls apart so many ways. You could look at it that 20 $1 bills buys you 20 bus rides, while 1 $20 bill only buys you 1. Also, there is no $1 currency and no $20 currency, it's more like yen, dollars (whatever specific variety), pounds, and euros. It's also similar to real-world currencies in that you always get screwed on the exchange rate if you try to change currencies.

And also because higher currencies like Exalteds are less likely to deflate in price, and more likely to inflate, given the rampant bots and state of the economy, as well as higher level players using Exalts more and other currencies less.
Lower-end currencies can only go down in value so much, because vendors have locked-in prices to upgrade currency items. Similarly, even though bots can farm low-end currency now doesn't mean they won't eventually be able to start farming higher-end currencies.

The locked-in prices don't affect Exalteds. The ratio between nearly all currencies, except Exalts can only go down "so much" as you said, but that doesn't mean the ratio between them and Exalteds can't(Like the ratio between Alchs and Chaos would still be ~2:1, Chaos and GCP 4:1, but Chaos to Exalted might become 100:1, GCP to Exalted 30:1, etc..).
At least until such a time as the Exalted recipe is discovered..

Bots can farm both, granted the lower-end ones easier, but they flood the [Default] economy with lower-end currency depreciating their value.

ive made dozens of exalts by this method like 2 months ago , ppl still get caught by this trick ? hahaha
liar. Let's use a modest rate for exalts at 15 chaos. And 16 alts per chaos. So that equals 5760 alts for 24 exalts.a minimum of dozens is at least 2 dozen. So every chaos you sell for 20 alts and then resell 2 fusings nets you 4 alts profit. So you did this 1440 times? Fucking liar. Gtfo.

I'd love to hear the response to this. People have no shame to come on the forums and lie and mislead.
eh...

oh no...

i just made 4 alts, i must be soooo rich :|

bros really now i can just make at least 4 alts in a matter of minutes by just running a map ffs can't believe this thread reached 10+ pages of lolzy qq on this shit

the funny part is I did you a favor and didn't even factor in half of the transactions needed.. that is just the number of transactions needed buying all the alts you would need to make the fusings.

I didn't even factor in the selling of the fusings which would of doubled my number.

as far as you doing this all in bulk.. I feel bad for you if you think anyone believes that. noone with thousands of alts is going to sell them at a rate that even this thread deems as picking on newbies who don't know any better.

basically you are a liar... hahhaa. hopefully your lesson is learned about spreading misinformation and the embarrassing consequences that it can lead to.

I'll cut your math down some
He said he's doing it bulk. Let's say someone trades 400 alts for 20 chaos. At 4 alt profit per chaos, he just stood to gain 80 alterations, which will then translate into an additional 5 fusing by the vendor (2.5 chaos). This is 1/6 of an exalt by your example. This means to obtain, let's say, a dozen exalts. (He said dozens but let's just do it this way) He only has to do this transaction 72 times both ways (to get the alts, then to trade up the fusings for chaos) to have a dozen exalts profit How long do you REALLY think that took him when people (like yourself) are buying it all in the name of "convenience"?

are you kidding me? who is buying 20 chaos for 400 alts? your entire point of the thread was that newbies who didn't know any better were getting taken advantage of. newbies dont have 400 alts.

you jumped on his original comment like it validated your thread. what a joke. couple of liars.

edit: oh shit lol.. not only does your math include one transaction of 400 alts.. but you base that number on every transaction? like their are 70+ newbies out there with 400 alts to trade for 20 chaos?

I'd continue to argue with you. but its blatantly obvious here whos math holds any water whatsoever, and its not your bullshit.
