I wouldnt say its a ripoff considering people can have different trading rates than others have. for me it comes down to what I think its worth and how much I can get for it.

@duskbane, you seem to go straight from that poeex site or whatever its called. I dont so I have different rates, its easy as that. its a barder system, its not set in stone. it changes and you can pick whatever price you want for shit, just have to find people to sell it to.

10:1 alt/alchemy 20:1 alt/chaos yeah it's a ripoff. 1 Free fusing each 40 alt is a nice profit considering they sell really good :s but well if u fell into it your bad to not have read the rates on the vendor in town :/

you are complaining about people being ripped off when 2 fusings : 1 chaos isn't even a set in stone trade rate.. the only set in stone trade rates are the ones from the vendors.

you mean to tell me you are crying about someone possibly making 4 alt.. and they have to conduct several trades to make it happen?

Why do people even trade currency for other currency unless they're into crafting and need those million chaos/exalted orbs to get a decent roll?

Because sometimes you have more of a currency you don't need, than currency you do need. Or someone you're trading with for "ITEMS" doesn't want the currency you have, so you need to first exchange your currency. Sometimes you have too much of the lower currencies and want to get rid of your change, like turning 20 $1 bill's into a 20$ bill.

And also because higher currencies like Exalteds are less likely to deflate in price, and more likely to inflate, given the rampant bots and state of the economy, as well as higher level players using Exalts more and other currencies less.

liar. Let's use a modest rate for exalts at 15 chaos. And 16 alts per chaos. So that equals 5760 alts for 24 exalts.a minimum of dozens is at least 2 dozen. So every chaos you sell for 20 alts and then resell 2 fusings nets you 4 alts profit. So you did this 1440 times? Fucking liar. Gtfo.
