Steelskin and the Guard Skills

inb4 permaimmune immortal call builds.
Ok cool, I was honestly hoping for more defense skills, including some for evasion melee. Sure Steelskin applies to both, but more options would be nice.
For now I will take what I can get.
RIP IMMORTAL CALL
:O
IMPROVE MELEE COMBAT AND ALREADY NERF IC ! =)))))))))))))))))) i smell trash league if the 1st changes to skills announced are NERFING existing ones.

GGG Killing Immortall Call when revive Melee builds... Whats wrong with you GGG??? Nothing to do more?
Wait....so Immortal Call got...nerfed? ust based on what I'm reading this looks like a nerf to Melee characters but when you think about it...it was probably getting to be too much. Based on the new focus on Melee combat, New Passives (some of which we haven't seen yet), Items and unique reworks, other defensive skills, new ascendancy changes...etc. There's a good chance that being immune to physical damage on top of all this was actually too strong in Alpha testing. I can totally see being immune to damage while in a stance that blinds enemies, combined with curses completely making a joke out of some bosses.

I actually think I'm alright with this change as most of the tanky characters I use are fine anyway and I welcome the increased ability to deal with elemental damage as more often than not this is what kills my tanky characters. What would be nice is if each endurance consumed made you take less physical & Elemental damage :D.

Also is there going to be an aura that mitigates Dots? Specifically poison? Because trying to build a tanky character that also resists Chaos damage and also doesn't suck is kinda hard that chaos damage hurts my soul lol.
I don't get the hate for the IC change.

35% phys mitigation and 34% ele mitigation on a level 20 skill with a +50% on phys mitigation with 5 Endurance Charges. That's 85% less physical damage taken on top of your defense and a 34% less ele damage taken. You can still just fire the skill, when you leap/charge/dash into a group of Porcupines and be fine.

Choosing when to actively mitigate a large hit (like a Shaper slam when you don't get out of his range in time) is just great!

IC at the moment does not work half the time anyways, because of the weird damage calculation (damage is determined when the skill fires and not when it hits, making you die even when IC proccs after the first projectile hits you ect).

I really like the change to these defensive skill. Less automatism, more thinking and reacting.

Bring the player not the meta-zuggzugg-builds^^
Great changes. CWDT+IC was a nobrainer for most builds and it wasn't good for gameplay to have it in its current state.

As for

They also reward responsive, skillful play.
part, most deaths i've experienced and most HC RIPs i've seen in youtube/twitch have occured in less than 0.5 seconds, so i doubt this skills can be used manually to escape from dangerous situation. They still can be used beforehand when player predicts dangerous situation. Anyway, this skills add new instruments for players to manage our gameplay which is great.

These skills are all Instant and share a cooldown which won't expire while any of the skills are active.
Is this precise wording or was it actually meant 'cooldown won't start while any of the skills are active'?
retired from forum because of censorship and discrimination
(also poe2 bad)
Please, correct me if I'm wrong:
The new Immortall Call needs to be triggered before damage is taken to mitigate some of it, so the melee characters will be even slower, as you need to be aware every second you are in battle before one-hit kills and you cannot run like characters that kill at distance. Am I right?
All the people saying it's bad that CWDT + IC was bad because it was a no-brainer are right, but the problem is that CWDT + IC has been a part of the game for so long that many enemies have been balanced around CWDT + IC existing.

You can't rebalance one and not the other and expect everything to work out fine.
