Between these and the war banners and warcries there's too many buttons

community are you blind? they introduced new skill and nerfed old ones. you have to play with new ones and buy some alternate microtransactions for them. they've started that company's policy few years ago

The problem is not too many bottoms to click, rather the hotkey is just too few for those active defense to fit in.

We've got Vaal skills (Vaal Grace/ Righteous Fire/ Haste , already 2~3 spot wasted), 1~2 movement skill (flame dash+ phase run is pretty much must have for most caster classes to have a smooth clearing experience), maybe 1~2 main dps skills depending on build, 1 golem, that's already 7~8 skill slot used.

Wait... we only have 8 skill slot lolz (left click should even leave blank for most builds too)
I feel like if we get a lot of ways to generate endurance charges, the new IC might be just as good as the old one for those classes. But even then, this looks like nerfing ranged defenses and not buffing melee one's. This seems like a strange approach to me.

Those builds don't need IC or any of the new mitigation to succeed because their passive defensive mechanic is already way better than the active one.

Don't get me started many melee builds are not even inherently bulky to begin with. I thought this is a melee league then? Guess is a Jugg league then.
Jugg, who's already overpowered for 4 leagues benefit the most from this IC change hands down, and they'd probably become even more op because now they mitigate ele dm too.


All endgame fights are well telegraphed. Except for atziri, which i barley ever do, i say this with confidence. Maybe insanly modded endgame bosses should be just that... insane.
The real problem then becomes that you actually can't despawn a boss in synthesis without killing it... or do i remember this incorrectly?

And no i'm saying clearspeed meta builds should have weaknesses (aka, beeing rippy). You know you can balance a char between clear and tankiness right?


Different classes are different. I say get rid of these boring "jack-can-do-all-content" chars.

I'll happily try my trickster past 700+ once i get to standard btw. it's definitly an interesting way of measuring a builds strength, but it shoudln't be the only column you base your judgment on.

I'm gonna stop here, you're just going to continue to try to turn all i say upside down.

Yep this will be the big issue imho ( you forgot to mention totems and curses...); plus active defenses looks cool on paper, but game speed and clusterfuck should be toned down a couple steps first.

Ofc you can balance a character between tankiness and clearspeed, but things like 700+ delve, or even 1000+ delve , there's just nothing that can mitigated that damage without the op ascendency to protect you. (Occult/ Jugg).

Telegraphic you say? Seems like you rarely delve...
And have you tried Cortex with 100% aoe and +3 projectile on top of 33% increased speed? Sure they're telegraphic, you just can't dodge it lolz.
Bad balance is bad balance, and people counter those poorly balanced mods on bosses with broken builds, that's all. We fight fire with fire.

Unless GGG actually tone down the mods on most contents. (Not just toss in some insane random rippy 8 mod combo that is balanced around atlus = easy contents, instead of delve 700+ or some end game league bosses), IC nerf is really unwarranted.

Imagine if Uber Elder get rippy mods, then you'd understand what I mean by broken balance on new league contents introduced since 3.4..
Before that mods are all balanced around atlus contents, and ggg is well aware of that, so they do not include mods on Shaper/ Uber Elder. But after 3.4 , ggg took back all their design philosophy and start breaking the balance by introducing contents that're way beyond t16 maps on top of including mods in it.

3.4 = Delve with broken modded nodes/ bosses
3.5 = Betrayal encounter that does so much damage with mods, and ggg has to repeatedly nerf them for like 10 patches and more.
3.6 = Cortex

For me , it's not really a nerf for Immortal Call.
Immortal Call will be more efficient at high level and the Steelskin and Molten Shell gems will replace it efficiently with a low level CWDT.

Occultist is the main outlier when it comes to delve. The sheer size from the ES pool makes them superior to every other class. Juggs do not fair as well as zombie degen at high levels is a killer.

I was initially very excited about the IC change. Now that I think about it, it could very well be an overall nerf.

Old IC - 100% physical resistance. 0% ele resistance. Longer duration
New IC - 85% physical resistance. 35% ele resistance. Shorter duration as only 5 charges.

On the surface - old IC is better due to increasing resistances at high percentages.

Deep delves however utilize alot of "Physical Damage Convert to XX". To that extent maybe the new IC might not be all that bad since this mitigates the converted elemental damage. We shall see.
