I agree with you that this game is really shaping up to be what Diablo 3 *seems* to have failed to do, which is really set players apart from one another with their skills. I am absolutely amazed by this game, and that above everything else, that is free-to-play.

You're bashing the game before you can even play the full product. I can bash Path of Exile because I can experience all the content currently. The thing is I will reserve my judgement on Diablo 3 until I can play it in its entirity. You just hate Diablo 3 for some irrational reason. |

You can always tell someone has hate for something when they haven't tried it fully. Yes, you can say the game looks unappealing, that's valid but saying their decisions and game play are wrong is kind of pathetic when you HAVEN'T PLAYED THE FULL GAME. You present your argument in a defensible, even-minded manner that leaves room for debate but no room for outright denial. There is no 'wrong' when it comes to these things, only different angles and different opinions. That's the bit you're not getting. I never used the word 'wrong.' I'm a little smarter than that. I spoke entirely from a position of personal opinion. " Your OP is implys the design of Diablo 3 doesn't make it a true successor to the Diablo series and your praise of Path of Exile makes it one. You're just saying Diablo 3 is bad but wording it nicely to avoid hate. It's easy to notice because you can't hide the fact you dislike something. The fact you spent $1,000 on a Closed Beta shows how zealous you are about Path of Exile. There's nothing anyone can say that would make you think differently. You're just too into the game to think objectively. Not hard to spot BS from a mile away. However, you will probably say you spending money on a game means you are not necessarily invested in it but you spent $1,000. Anyway why u cant understand that D3 dont appeal to thousands of Diablo 1,2 fans? did u find that so strange? some might not like the graphics some others that there is not enough(or at all) customization/char builds some the fact that it will have real money auction-house, some that it's made to appeal to casual gamers more than the hardcore ones and many-many other reasons.. All in all most if not all ppl who have try PoE have play the previous Diablo games they remember how they were and D3 have nothing to do with the franchise it's only a Diablo game in name & lore everything else Blizz throw it out of the window so back of, u r free to play it when it's out if u like so much all those changes Blizz did to it.. Me personally although I didn't like any change Blizz to it even if it have more depth in the customization department still I could never play it because I cant even look for it for more than a few seconds w/o throw up yep that's my feelings for your beloved D3 for me the game is garbage but I guess blind Blizz fan boys will shallow anything with the Blizz name in it w/o 2nd guess. |

Well, he has a point. Retroactively, my original post, made JUST after I got into the beta (and after a lot of D3 beta testing), is now pretty much coloured by the fact that I'm now 'financially invested' in the project.
