Time Capsule from PoE Closed Beta -- a classic PoE vs D3 thread circa 2012

The mad is strong with this one...

Be careful guys, if you reply to him a couple more times you too will lose the ability to press spacebar.

Hmm less fighting eachother, more talk about A-RPGs!!!!

And video games ARE a very important piece of culture, they aren't some benign "piece of code;" that is like calling Mona Lisa a "piece of canvas with paint splashed around on it" -- people spent many hours of hard work to create it.

Take Starcraft for example, it's like South Korean football, primetimed on television with audiences and professional players. It is totally part of their culture.

Anything we create for entertainment, decoration or expression is all part of our culture.

Agreed. If you think otherwise, you can't call yourself a gamer really.

STOP PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH,YOU STUPID ASSHOLES.I never said,"I don't care about anythingPERIOD".I never said,"I don't care about anyones opinionPERIOD".I said I don't care about anything negative people say about VIDEO GAMES.How many fucking times do i need to clarify this?I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this type of idiocy from people that just want more of the same thing over and over again(PoE).

I know. That's why I didn't cite you or quote anything you said. I just said you seemed preachy, and made a little joke about it. No need to resort to personal attacks.

Who said anything about them having emotions? You actually said, "they are not important, like people or cultures"

...so a multimillion dollar production is not a vehicle to facilitate the livelihood and income of the people who created it, muchless the thousands of investors? That sure is important to everyone receiving a paycheck!

Regardless, less attack toward others. More talk about A-RPGs or atleast video games!

Speaking of, can someone enlighten me with a little more information of Grim Dawn? The game engine looks absolutely STUNNING! Though, their website makes it look more like vaporware then an actual working development.

As for the NCSoft Lineage based one coming out, NCSoft really, really lost me after their piss poor support with Aion; I actually feel happy in a sick and twisted way that Blue Hole was able to take Tera (or Lineage III if you ask the wrong person) and do better then that horrible, horrible company. Seriously, they make Activision look like a goddamn charity. Sad, really. (Not playing Tera due to a total burnout of the MMO genre, though their combat system is really, really fun, just dead to the world on the whole questing/gather/level/raid system of the mmo worlds.

If you don't agree with someone, insulting him and calling names isn't going to make him see your point of view. Debate is fine, argument is ok, but personal attacks aren't.

Please continue this thread in a civil manner, as close to on-topic as possible.
Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.
