I'm not saying I'm not a fanboy, I'm pretty sure I am.
But attributing trust to nothing but fanboyism is rather ignorant.

Well, how you see, i was right. The problem with fan boys is whatever the company does, good or bad, they will always say it's good. Hope your not that type of fanboy.

Haha, exactly my point.

Oh I know! Thats what's going to make Inferno so damn entertaining. The Champs and Elites are your random bosses now that can show up anywhere.

We don't even know half of the modifiers that will show up. can't wait to come across some new ones for the first time.

Molten
Vortex
Frozen
Waller
Knockback
Teleport
Vampiric

I think thats all we know so far?

Forgot one: Extra-Life

There's plenty more we already know, and many more kept under wraps still

Mirror Image
Arcane
Nightmarish
Contagious
Mortar
Fast
etc.

For the beta its mostly nightmarish, teleport, knockback, with molten, arcane, frozen, waller, vortex, lightning in den of evil level 2 which is the highest level area beside skel king room accessable in beta.

Supposedly most of the mods don't even unlock till nightmare and higher as well.

As for the "big company" hate I think it just goes hand in hand with all the current class warfare hoopla going on. "Big companies," especially in the gaming industry don't just appear overnight, they get there through success. Who knows, maybe Grinding Gears will become a massive 'big game company' one day as well.

Oh, I guess I'm not a fanboy either then.
Too bad, I liked the idea of it.

Your right I forgot about those.

some of those are new to me such as Mirror Image and Contagious. Arcane... I donno what they plan to do with that. They had a few different implementations in the beta till they got cut. The most bizzare was the orbs of lasers thing before they removed them completely.

But you said you where one of them =P.

Waller- is somthing really interesting where I was impressed so far. Others are more or less generic things. Hope there will be more interesting ones

Mirror image was leaked by a twitter response.
Contagious was datamined, with some others (there's a list on diablowiki), arcane, I miss the lasers of death from patch 9! It was like the only way to die in that iteration of beta! The fun part really is in the combinations you get, considering you get four mods in inferno.

Which brings me to another thought; a lot of the d3 haters may have tried earlier beta builds which were rediculously easy (like sk dying to thorns items, or the poor smithing itemization giving you double hp and such)

I don't think I've ever seen so many 'big' mechanics/system changes in any beta ever, compared to d3. Not that its good or bad, just noteworthy. Interesting watching their dev diaries as how prior to closed beta start, how they thought the game was 90% ready. So much has changed since its amazing!

D3 is for kids. The game is way too easy, and a little too polished, ifyaknowwhaddamean.
Combat feels totally awkward and skills unresponsive.

PoE is so much more oldschool and rough, and mobs are actually a challenge on higher difficulties.
I've noticed a lot of Diablo 3 fanboys don't have beta keys to PoE. Funny how they can mock something they have so little contrast to.
The Anti-Troll, Troll.
