Either way, its rather silly to claim it will be too easy before anyone has played it.

Or realy hard. =P

Not entirely.
Blizzard knows the endgame, and what items will be available there. They have no doubt done a ton of internal tests with themselves and other people.
If they say it's going to be hard, it's going to be hard.

Man, if they say somthing it doesn't mean it is really true. They will know if the game is hard or not when the game is released and people star to find all the advantages of classes and other things.

Sometimes I wonder how people can trust so much blindly to big developers that try to sell somthing to you.

big developer or not blizzard's letdowns have been far and few, and mostly just related to WOW expansions.

Warcraft 1 practically created the RTS game as we know it, and WC2 refined it to popularity
Diablo 1 pretty much created its genre
SC built upon WC2, and became so popular it became a career choice in some countries
Diablo 2 is still a love to many today
World of Warcraft is undisputedly the king of all MMOs and one of the most successful games of all time
SC2 opened up Starcraft IP to a modern market and playfriendlied the series
..Personally I'm not too worried of D3 being fun or not. Hopefully it's the challenge it was made out to be (although the "months to clear" was tiptoed around later on as "probably weeks for organised groups of players")

-- as for monsters "not being able to hit as hard" is certainly not true. Play through the beta and get a level 4-5 guy to skellie king. You have to manage killing adds for those health globes, because getting hit by the cleave or port strike can do 80% of your health, and that's on normal mode in the "tuitorial" beginning portion of the game. (I AM NOT SAYING ITS SUPER DIFFICULT, but you do have to pay attention pretty damn well)

The first games where when blizz was small studio. Sc2 was not that good. WoW expansions, no comments.

If you played d3, try putting some good lvl items on your low lvl characters, and test them.

Yup, one of the most competitive games in extistance, critically acclaimed and loved, is not that good.
Maybe it wasn't good for you, but it's a great game in general.

Also, warcraft 3 was also a masterpiece both in single and multiplayer.

They know what they are getting in to.
Blizzard knows they can't just state something like that and then not follow up on it.
As I said, they have no doubt tested every stage of the game with all kinds of equipment, they know how hard it's going to be.

Also @Slasherofveils about them restating the 'months' thing. I still think a 'regular' person will take months to complete inferno and if you spread the hours 'hardcore' people play out in a more reasonable way, it will still equal month(s).

You start somewhere. And just because you didn't like SC2 doesn't make it bad (I don't like wow, and its the most popular pc game ever made), never got into wc3 either but I know friends who still play it.

Twinking is the same in any game as for "testing them" I don't see the point. D2 was no different, I don't even think POE is different in that regard. Just difficulty beyond SK esp in higher modes remains to be seen, you can't say its easy if noone beside blizzard has played it unless you work for blizzard.

I know when the gate glitch bug was in game the next area was surprisingly hard for <lev 8, with moltens and wallers running around

Never said that sc2 was bad, but was not that good. Especially compared to sc1. For a e-sport, in korea its not that popular like sc1 is.

Again people trust too much big developers what they say.

Tagek "As I said, they have no doubt tested every stage of the game with all kinds of equipment, they know how hard it's going to be."

They cant test the game with so little testers compared to how much people will play it. Again i say, don't trust whatever they say. Try to think with your head.

Ofcourse, a sequal will never be as popular as the original if the original was near perfect. Expecting otherwise is just plain stupidity on your part.

Ok well, you can go ahead and think with your head, and this dummy will continue to believe that one of the largest, most influential gaming companies of all time, creator of several franchises that each define their whole genre, will deliver on what they have said.

Madness, right?

Loved that area of the beta. The extra Champion and Elite modifiers really changed things up. YOu couldn't just blindly rush in and kill them anymore. Molten was particularly nasty for melee classes.

Can't wait till later with 4 of those modifiers on Champs and Elites. Going to be quite interesting to say the least.
