Since GGG forced lab down our throats, how about some protection from lab carries that quit or die?

I have just checked your build. It is absolutely atrocious. Try to look up a guide and do a new one and trust me you'll have no problems with lab.

Just over level and do lab at 90 instead of 75 like the zone. Bring life pots if you want to go slow and mitigate physical damage. There's a potential shrine that gives you 50% reduced dmg taken from lab traps too.

Getting shafted on a carry does suck. I'll carry you for free if you play in Standard. My offering, too, because I love farming lab.

The lab is essential to stop cheez min max builds.

If you can't get through maybe you aren't ready for a glass cannon DPS build.

Your assertion implies that all builds are treated equally in lab. That is not correct. For example, a Vaal Pact evasion character is at a significant disadvantage in lab compared to a high life regen build. Perhaps you just consider all VP evasion characters even with super great life leech to be glass cannon builds though?

Hey I play evasion and made it through uber on my trickster, it was hard, but awesome ^_^

I am saying if you can't make it through with a hard build, practice more and work your way up. Maybe start with a warchief firetotem build?

Poe is a hardcore game, but you get a little better each char. It's refreshing compared to all the other crap coming out. Gives the game longevity.

Now I would say there is a problem with new players getting stuck and quitting early on in the game, but I would have some new player guides on the poe website. Just so they can start with a build that will get them somewhere.

Designing a build around content that one considers horrible not fun crap, that is only going to be done 4 times (or only twice if you don't count the first two labs) really doesn't make sense.

Although this post makes far more sense to me than the idea that somehow lab prevents glass cannon builds which I consider a BS position. I consider it BS because lab content has more to do with practicing the loathsome content far more than weeding out glass cannon builds. If one is really good at the content then even glass cannon builds make it through without too much problem. All it really does is weed out people that aren't practiced with the labyrinth trap gauntlets.

The game is supposed to be hardcore. Balancing the game so any half-assed build works will kill the longevity. There should be an offical GGG guide with some starter builds so new players have a fighting chance their first chars, but making the game easier will just kill the best part. Getting a little better each season, and eventually climbing that mountain.

The game is inherently a hardcore arpg game. You want to get through with your evasion build? Get more damage flasks and don't get hit. Could take 10 hours, could take 20 hours. Could be not possible until you are ready to ascend. Playing an easier class until you get faster reflexes is a good way of attacking the problem.

It's a badge of honor to be able to run the labs and reach high tiers as a squishy with an exotic build. Even ranger is considered a high skill class.

Organic skill based progression is where it's at.
