lol. Seriously, who dies that much? Probably some 10 year old playing on his dad's account or something (I hope).

Or someone who doesn't try too hard and uses public games to do any advancement. I swear there are people I've played with that would be stuck on Normal Vaal if they were on their own.
You mean some famous streamers that quit and went back to a other game? Can't remember names but our offtopic Forum had some threads ^^
Why you should try Harcore http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/209310/page/1
Yeah... I still frequently die against Hellrake.

I wouldn't have fun playing Hardcore. I love that it is an option though, as clearly many people enjoy it.

I prefer Default league, as the game is still tough, but I don't get super stressed out playing it.
Bullshit, you get the game for free.

Don't have the time to bother creating a new character each time one dies. There's to many things that can be out of your control resulting in death. My internet disconnects at least once a week, no thanks.

Not to mention it basically translates as:

"I'm always going to level five levels above the content. I will also alt F4/exit to title if I'm in any danger of dying, because you know..yolo and I'm hardcore and stuff.." Hell even Kripp left the game to avoid dying to roas. Why play hardcore if your going to do that?

Not to mention hardcore has basically 4-5 builds that are used.

1. EK
2. FP
3. LA
4. Summoner
5. I can't even think of a fifth. Dual totem maybe?

You can't risk running anything else because it's just to risky. Personally I'm running a somewhat cookie cutter build until I can build up gear/currency to run some fun stuff.

pretty sure those are the main builds on softcore too
i dont agree with OP.
ive played HC in all games that have had this feature and i have to say that POE's hardcore feels just "half way". the softcore is the main playfeild in this game.
HC feels to weak.
There is suppose to be a nice signature picture here
Hardcore incentivizes overlevelling the current area by 10 levels and facerolling. What's the fun in that?

I've also seen people chuck tantrums because their character died. They simoly refused to talk to me and were miserable the entire day.
I'm a new player trying to learn as much as I can about Path of Exile! Feel free to add me in game and socialize.
great read thanks :)

@seddrick619

There are people who plan out a build and others that just try something out. But for both HC & SC I believe its the same. You try something, it does not work well you try another way to make a build work. The big thing is - in SC you can fix it kind of on the fly and in HC well you have to do it all over again. If you are more experienced you plan a new build better. Because you know the game better.

Ok thank you for the info. this helps me understand what i should do if i attempt this thing.
I saw this post, made a templar, got at level 63 then died while loading the map 10 sec after entering a tp... I wont whine but im just saying that i wont play hardcore again

Yeah so just be sure youre having more than 1500$ worth of up-to-date hardware specs in your computer because you'll get killed and there is nothing you can do about it.
