Hardcore and why you should play / try it

I had client problems. Then i removed my creative Soundcard and all are gone.

Great post, mate - really enjoyed reading it and it made me look at hardcore from a different angle!

For me, I feel that the main reason I play softcore is because I'm having fun but expect my char to be more powerful and even more fun in the future and to lose that chance feels like a horrible waste of time - I will need to re-roll the same char and grind back to where I was killed.

Now I understand - the time in the game - that's the time to enjoy, not from some plan you have for your char that will make it fun in 20 levels or if you had amazing gear - so if you lose your char before that, never mind! you enjoyed the time played, maybe to a fuller extent because things actually matter! One hour race is a great example - you had fun for one hour and that's it, you move on to a new char and you don't feel shit because all your effort has gone to waste, right?
And if someone feels that he really wants to make his char perfect and has a connection with it, so to lose it will be a huge blow - cheers, default is built for this and you can run hardcore just as a side challenge or when you know you pwn softcore and faceroll it.

I cant really agree on your last point. We try to get the perfect char too and we all love our chars. And if we loose one we are sad. So saying that if you want a perfect char going SC is something I cant agree. Its also the thrill that keeps us up, we are in a way adrenalin junkies and we need it. And SC cant give us any adrenalin rush at all. But again, if it is hard for someone to let a char go and he sticks so much to his hero/items its ok to stay SC.

i hate lvling in any game it sucks
i like lvling when i have to do it once the thought of starting over due to anything is fucking stupid.... you have to yet to give me a reason to play hardcore its a complete waste of time.... I dont care about being hardcore i like farming maps i dont care about dying lose of exp = good lose of char = quit game sorry i hate the idea of hardcore always have always will plz if ur going 2 waste time making this post i will waste time saying NO hardcore is not for me i give mes 0 interest whine and cry its a stupid game mode in my opinion if u die give me ur items ur not hardcore anymore i need them and will put em to good use stfu with these stupid hardcore threads

I will never play Hardcore in an always online ARPG with an ever-present lag.

Low lvl 0 interest in hardcore

Stop trolling bullshit in first place. Desync is something we live with because its an internet game. But just dont bring this one up because most peopley dying to desync and blaming just it...Just because the forum is full of it, I dont believe its the nr 1 reason people duying. Playing shitty should still be > desync. And btw...thx for not helping at all in this threadd.

You can die too because:
* monitor crashes (you cant see)
* mouse crashes (you cant move)
* parents disturb you
* girlfriend / boyfriend desturbs you
* hard attack
* you get blind
* a terrorist
* power shot down
* switching music
* switching TV Show
* a cup of hot drink screaws over you
* a cup of cold drink screws over you
* lightning up a cigarette
* grandparents disturbing you
* porn disturbing you
* your pet distracts you
* windows UPDATE
* doing drugs
* drinking
* police cashes you
* earthquake
and many many more


I have to ask you one thing. You dont like to level at all so why do you play it? I mean you have to level. And you leveled but you hate it. So if you hate it why did you do it? You Sir just make zero sense to me. And again, thx again for trolling in a thread with your posts that have been not at any point helping. You just shitted on a mode you don't like. Why? What is your deeper thinking that made you write this up? It does not help people at all. So plz explain it to us.
