Hardcore and why you should play / try it
the opening post deserves a sticky

I play default but I usually play in a fairly careful way anyway.
Similarly to how I'd play on HC since I don't want to lose time from the XP penalty on death, especially at higher levels. The game is still exciting. Deaths are still annoying. But if I do die, at least I don't have to reroll.

All the reasons given by the OP are decent ones, even the opinionated reasons. Economy, whatever, its a solo game for me so not important. But the rest isn't bad.
Here's the kicker though, desynch and lag. Until those 2 things get stabilized more by GGG then you will not see me playing HC. I played D2 HC for years and enjoyed it. But really do not see the point, on a personal level, for needing to play HC in PoE currently.
many ppl think that whoever plays on SC just go in a retard way with 10 % resists and going kamikaze into every possible room...stop being fanatics about one league or the another one

I don't play HC because I get terrible fps. It can go down to 1 playing solo. So yeah, better lap top and I would.

" Seriously. | |
I play the game for a much different reason than the OP. I like to see my character develop, for the thrill of seeing something drop and coming to that realization that "oh wow that's an upgrade" which becomes a rare experience in the higher levels. I like to build my character and realize that vision. As someone who heavily played Magic: The Gathering it was always more about building the deck and seeing how it performed. Win or lose it was how that vision came to pass. Probably why Kaom's Heart has no appeal to me as an item, despite it's huge value. Losing 6 potential sockets? Limitations are not fun to me.
